unfortunate truth of reality is that oftentimes 15 year olds will say/do/believe some stupid bullshit because they are 15 but telling them that they believe that because they are 15 is probably the most counterproductive thing in the entire universe
i remember being 15 and wanting literally nothing more than to be taken seriously and listened to and every thought and feeling i had was dismissed because i was a hormonal teenager. i was well aware at that point that a lot of the things i felt were probably because i was a kid, but that didnt make any of it less real, and being dismissed because of my age 1. did not help 2. did not make me feel better 3. made me angry at and untrustworthy of adults because they refused to listen to me. teenagers are people. kids are people. one of the only major things separating them from adults are experience and wisdom. they have like. you know. interiority
like in YOUR mind you may think youre being helpful by going 'well you're a kid, its not really a big deal, youre okay, youll get over it' but that does not register as "helpful affirmation that everything will turn out fine and the only reason im upset is because of something out of my control so its better to just try and come to terms with it" it registers as 'adult dismissing my real tangible problems and sadness and anger because of my age and inadvertently calling me stupid'

"transitioning would've saved her" "transitioning would've made her worse" transitioning might have helped her overcome her body image and self-esteem issues which may be part of the reason she is the way she is, but it wouldn't fix the years of bad habits and destructive behaviors and lack of self-care built up over the years. there is a lot more learning and healing and self-improvement that would need to happen before she could be happy
he's coping REALLY WELL with his feelings for magus. old men will be like "I wish I died a thousand years ago" instead of accepting that they like a coworker

this is going to sound like such a little sibling ass take but i genuinely believe that being a little bit annoying is actually a greater sign of maturity and self awareness than being universally likeable and on good terms with everyone
if some people find me annoying and can't stand me because of how i think and act then that means i'm a fully realized human being with my own personality and opinions and free will and not just a reflective surface for other people's desires, which is in fact a good thing despite what people who want you to just be a reflection of their own opinions and desires will tell you, and why being considered "cringe" or whatever doesn't bother me at all
also it's really funny when you're confident enough in yourself to know that people not liking you isn't always a sign that you're the problem. like there's something undeniably hilarious about being aware your mere existence has the power to piss someone off and ruin their day and i recommend embracing it.
