📜: I've long loved a good, old, salt-crystally, smoked gouda 🤤, but there are truly so many wild and fascinating varieties of cheese out there! Shoutout to fresh mozzarella, pepperjack, and colby. I don't share this to yuck your yum, but I too long loved Blue Cheese, until one fateful day I ate too much of it, and tasting it in reverse has somehow permanently destroyed my enjoyment of it. Bodies are so strange sometimes. So, just be careful out there. Don't overdo it. Variety is the spice of life!

🎷: Big SFX components and musical numbers tend to draw attention and I'm always glad to see discussion of those things, but I'd say 80% of what I do on the audio side is invisible by design. It's kind of an unspoken reality in the audio field that successful sound goes unnoticed, and that work the audience never consciously detects is work well done. A ton of background work goes into phoneme-level dialog editing/cleanup, manipulating individual wafts of background wind for tiny moments of dramatic emphasis, performing just the right rustle of fabric foley to connote a heartstopping turn of the head, and of course mixing everything so that the dialog, SFX, and music all occur at successful and intelligible levels of volume. There's lots of tiny granularity in the audio side that's never meant to draw attention, but which takes up the vast majority of my time in postproduction. So invisible audio is probably my #1 rice tablet experience, as you put it. Le Bisou to you too!
