update!!! I've lost...
10 lbs. already... 2 weeks, TEN POUNDS
You don't get how amazing that is for me!!! It's been next to impossible for me to lose weight... I could work out, i could eat "healthy" Meals... I could even try stupid fad diets and the likes (seriously, NEVER got that route) but no matter what I did, I couldn't lose the weight. maybe a couple pounds over like a month or you know, somehow end up gaining weight. and here i am after two weeks, down ten pounds... so what changed...?
I thought back to what I did differently this time, compared to other times and realized it was one thing... Gluten...
I started eliminating it before the whole Celiac thing happened, therefore my insides are busily repairing itself and I was told once I removed Gluten, it would actually make a difference in my weight... I didnt think it would be this fast or this much.. but wow... way to keep me pumped up and going...
Here's to next 10 lbs gone!!!
so... I have learned today, I have Celiac's... i was sad and wanted pizza, so you know what??? I had pizza... damn good pizza, made with GLuten free crust, so suck it Celiac's...
I need to find recipes for GLuten free.. umm... everything...? hahaha basically it's a lot of stuff to look into but truth is, I've been feeling better since I got off the gluten... the one time i had it again (i had a sandwhich before the whole celiac's thing, I was so so sick... it actually made me pass out from exhaustion in the middle of the day... so weird...
95% of people with Celiac's or gluten intolerance go undiagnosed. it's a real issue and it sucks.
Things I've noticed this week...
Things I've noticed this week...
I've started cleaning up my eating, a lot.. not perfect but it's A LOT better.... I didn't eat a lot or frequently, So i started making sure I did eat several times daily and always had breakfast within 30 minutes of waking up... even just doing this for a week can make a difference.
I slept through my first alarm today(it was that damn epsom salt bath, I'm telling you) and barely had enough time to gather everything before rushing out the door to work... so 15 minutes to get ready, half hour to get to work, plus it was super busy when I got there... I didn't get a chance to grab some food until at least an hour and 15 minutes after waking... Holy crap was i HANGRY lol... so here's a tip... don't sleep through your first alarm... and eat whenn you wake up...less likely to bite off your coworkers head, or a customer... :D
Also, I've started cutting out a lot of GLuten in my diet and it's amazing how much better I feel already... it was always suspected and probable that I had a sensitivity to Gluten and well I'm 99.9% convinced I do... Pasta... I love Pasta... and right now, I've switched to Catelli Gluten Free Pasta and it's so good... I can't tell. I do plan on trying other options as well... no bread, which I love as well... Basically, I've been doing okay and it's amazing how much better I feel. :)
you know I'm all about that bell...

It Hurts So Good!!!
That was the mantra i kept repeating as I hit up another class today, still sore from yesterday. And still without a knee brace!!!!
My knee is still feeling pretty good, so that's a bonus!!!
We had our first class in the new Surrey location, so that was awesome.
This saturday there is a workshop in the New West location so I urge everyone to come check it out.
Now, I'm going to soak in a hot bath of Epsom Salts because I'm in so much pain but don't worry because....
IT HURTS SO GOOD!!!!!
So I think i'm also going to be updating with video's so keep on the lookout for that and happy swinging!!!
Basically, I’m gonna try and post everyday :)
I’ll try and post progress pics every couple weeks at least.
Today though after dealing with a migraine (aren’t they the worst?) I got to class again and did something amazing!!\ i got through the whole class without using my knee brace!!!!
That’s a...
kneebrace free!

That's a big deal for me!!!
2 1/2 years ago, I tore everything possible in my knee playing baseball. It was by far the most painful thing I have gone through and as most people will learn, I have had a lot of mishaps, lol. I had to wait 14 months for an MRI to confirm it and was told to basically do nothing. So I didn't for the first year but then started going to Kettlebell at the urging of the Head trainer, Rish Koya.
By the time I got the results for my MRI and was told everything was, in fact torn, the doctor told me that surgery was up to me. They used to send everyone for surgery with the hopes of stopping Arthritis but have learned that I will get Arthritis regardless. (yay!) so he said it was up to me. I could keep going to Kettlebell and strengthen all the muscles around my knee to compensate, or go for surgery, wait a long time for that and suffer through months and months of rehab. After lots of thinking and talking it over with many people, I opted to keep going to kettlebell.
Of course, more injuries and false starts plus a new job, I've been slowly plugging along. I have this massive knee brace I wear and it's always been the goals of the trainers to have me do kettlebell class without it.. so today, it was that day and I feel great!!! my knee is fine, I had a great class and I'm going to do it all again tomorrow!
After one week, I'm already down 3.5 lbs and I've never been more pumped!!
and it begins...
alright, phew, it begins...
New Year, time to start again right?
Basically I started this out by going back to Kettlebell... New You So here goes.
I had my first class yesterday, I'm in so much pain today but the good kind of fun pain. :)
Basically, I'm going to be chronicling my journey because the whole world needs to know about Kettlebell, plus it keeps me going. plus I have a great story to tell. I will for sure go into more depth about this and me but I wanted to get the first post out there... You will learn about what I'm doing, why, my motivations, my reasonings, anything and everything about me.
So let the journey begin!
I like everyone else, hate posting full body pictures but it must be done.
