can’t stop thinking about mammon’s picnic devilgram story bc it’s lowkey implied that he’s good at making food?? like there’s nothing to indicate otherwise and even tho beel will eat almost anything, he comments on how good mammon’s bentos smell and then he’s shown to be happily eating them so.... it’s just funny bc i assumed mammon would be terrible at making food, mostly bc the running gag in obey me is that he Can’t Do Anything Right. but you know what? he deserves to have something he’s good at, and i think it’s cute if he’s a decent chef.
anyway imagine mc trying mammon’s food for the first time and they’re just like “wow, mammon, this is good!” and they look so happy while they’re eating his food and he’s just??? overwhelmed bc someone’s praising him for something he did?? and the humming noise mc made when they took their first bite was so cute?? so he’s having a mini heart attack but he plays it cool like “whatever, of course the great mammon’s food tastes great!” (but y’know, he can’t help blushing and stuttering.) after that, he “subtly” comes up with excuses to give mc food he made. something like, “i was makin’ myself a snack but i made too much, so i guess ya can have this.” he’s frequently looking forward to mc’s compliments and the cute expression on their face while they’re enjoying his food.
this escalates until he’s literally bringing mc breakfast in bed and he’s like, “listen, i got up early and was bored so i decided to come make ya entertain me for a bit, and i just so happened to be nice enough to make ya some breakfast as payment.“ and mc is so delighted by this surprise first thing in the morning, they’re like “thank you, mammon, this is so thoughtful.” mammon can’t even try to come up with a response about how he just said he’s only doing this because he’s bored, didn’t mc hear him, because he’s too caught up in the way mc’s giving him the sweetest look he’s ever seen. (also, damn, their bedhead is ridiculously adorable.)
eventually, mc ends up wandering into the kitchen after mammon was making food for them, and they see mammon cradling a plate of the food against his chest as he glares at a drooling beel. “no, beel, stop it!! this is for mc and mc only, ya got it!?” and mc just stands there with the biggest, goofiest grin on their face because this precious doofus is going through so much trouble for them. he tries to act like he doesn’t really care, but when they see how much of an effort he puts in simply to make them happy, how can they not think that he’s the sweetest demon in the devildom? when mammon notices mc standing there, he literally squawks and starts sputtering, and mc just walks over to him and gives him a kiss on the cheek. (because their adorable chef deserves a treat too, right?)
