I keep thinking about this moment because it was really sweet and unprompted. Catherine was so excited to be there and wanted so badly to do a good job (she did a GREAT job with maybe the hardest episode yet) and to get a little praise from someone with as much Dropout success as Ify? You can't buy an ego boost like that!
She also really IS good at Game Changer because there's no damn way I would've ever figured out the trick, let alone as fast as she did. Also the fact she instinctively just gave away everything she learned to help other constestants. I hope they bring her back for a less chaotic episode soon.

Count the Rice is already close enough I think Dropout should just commit and make a horror Game Changer episode. hey. don’t cry. crush two cloves of garlic into a pot with a dollop of olive oil and stir until golden then add one can of crushed tomatoes a bit of balsamic vinegar half a tablespoon of brown sugar half a cup of grated parmesan cheese and stir for a few minutes adding a handful of fresh spinach until wilted and mix in pasta of your choice ok?
Over the last couple of years this has become my standard pasta recipe, and I can make it from memory. It’s always there when I want something quick and delicious and don’t want to order out. It’s the perfect base to add in some extras, too. Here are some I've used in various combinations, depending on what’s in the cupboard and fridge:
Knob of butter with the oil
Season with a little oregano, basil, crushed red pepper flakes, and black pepper
Generous splash of red wine that’s been lingering on the counter
Squeeze of tomato paste (tube kind)
Sliced mushrooms rescued from the back of the fridge
Half a block of cream cheese, cubed, stirred in ’til melted and blended in (at end)
But, you really don’t have to add any of these, because it’s just a great little recipe.
Made this post about 15 minutes after the repair guy who fixed the pump on my dishwasher packed up his tools and left, as the dishwasher was whirring along doing my dishes from that morning.
He said the exact same thing, which I did not know before that, so spreading this knowledge.
"our university has top notch buildings-" are they disability accessible?
"our lecturers are some of the best in the country-" do they know how to accommodate different learning styles? are they normal when a student has significant access needs?
"our historic campus buildings-" do they have working lifts? can they fit a powerchair?
"our research led curriculum-" is it accessible to mentally disabled people?
"our exceptional scientific equipment-" can people with limb differences use it? will you help them use it?
"our state-of-the-art sports facilities-" do you have a single sports club for disabled people? one sports wheelchair?
"we have over 400 societies" are a single one of them made by, for, and about disabled people?
"our student accommodation (housing) is cheap and modern and-" do you have wheelchair accessible rooms that aren't a million miles away from campus and/or really far away from any social events on campus? do you even have them at all?
"here's our prospectus and website and leaflet!" does it have a single mention of disability in it? outside of 'oh yeah we can accommodate you :)'
"here's how to access our support services!" do they involve having to communicate clearly to be taken even a bit seriously?
"here's how we can accommodate you!" okay but are disabled students an active and important part of your student life? are we anywhere to be found at social events, clubs and societies, (inter)national events, fucking *open days*?
i don't give a single shit how accomplished and modern your fancy pants russell group universities are if they don't accommodate disabled people. if i go to your university and almost cry because i feel so desperately, fucking invisible, that is on you. do better.
