Redecorating

So my husband got some plywood to cover up a slatted wall we have. I was able to hang up my new plushie hammock. Tomorrow we're going hunting for a new kitchen table and I'm going to get a few things for my corner in the bedroom. Making a small area for myself so I can relax and meditate or play games.

I'm gonna see if I can paint a mural on the bottom half.

So, my husband makes a lot of hands on art using copper wire (Trees, chainmail, and I was wondering if anyone had an interest in things like that if he were to open a shop online.

I've been meaning to post his stuff for a while now, and I finally found the time to do so! And I'm happy to share his stuff as he doesn't use social media outside of watching YouTube.

Birthday Fun

Haven't posted in a while! This was so far one of the best birthday experiences I could ask for as a Fallout fan!

My husband took me and our son to Tidewater Comic Con in VA and we had so much fun. Got a lot of goodies to fuel my hyperfixatioins and my it's bag obsession. And I got to meet Paul Eiding from Fallout! I got to share with him my love for the franchise and how my sister got me into playing it when I originally wanted nothing to do with the game. (I was too overwhelmed by open world games) And if it wasn't for my sister and her husband giving me my first copy of Fallout 3 and my Xbox 360, I would not be part of such an amazing community.

Just Venting

I hate that there are so many things that I want to do, but I feel like I either don't have the time or the energy to do them. I get up. I try to start fresh knowing I have things I need to do and things I want to do. But by the end of the day I feel less accomplished than when I told myself with a feeling of pride what I was going to do.

I struggle with both ADHD, autism, and depression. I have so many ideas I want to see come to light, so many thoughts bubbling to the surface that I just want to write or blurt out. (Heck, right now this is one of those, and I feel like I need to get it out before I get distracted or risk losing thoughts and ideas that sound so profound to me.)

I want to make content. I want to make YouTube videos for fun (maybe money) but I hate the sound of my own voice played back because it's not the same. I hate that I feel like no one would want to hear a nerd rant about her day to day in retail, or her thoughts on games. That stuff has been done already by so many other great content creators. I just wanna make people laugh with my stupid inside jokes and sarcastic reactions to my day to day living.

I want to do chores like I need to as a mother, but when it's time to finally knuckle down and do them, I want the motivation to 'actually' do it. Not just: "You're going to do it." And then I just sit and do some before I get up to walk around for a break.

I want to draw. I miss it so much. I want to get back into what I loved growing up.

The biggest thing I want from myself is to just not be anxious about wanting to do these things, and just do them already. But I can't. It's always the same cycle. In between the chaos, I choose to take my time by just sitting and staring at the clock, waiting. I don't know what for though.

I just want to do stuff without feeling dread and tired all the damn time.

My husband got me this ita bag for Christmas and I love it so much! It became my new Nick Valentine themed bag.

I also came to the realization that I have 30+ Nick related items in my hyper fixation collection. I might have a problem. With detectives in general. Due to my new found love for Columbo, which I never had the chance to watch before, my husband got me the series collection for Christmas as well. I'm literally trying to collect anything Columbo if possible.

I'd say it was a good Christmas though. My son was very happy with the gifts we got for him, and I made my English butter toffee this year, which was fun!

I wanted to draw something for the 9th birthday of Fallout 4, but just didn't have the time with my busy work schedule and with recent family stuff.

Instead, I'll take this time to at least post my appreciation for this game. Even if Fallout 3 was my introduction into the Fallout franchise thanks to my sister and her husband, Fallout 4 has a very special comfort place for me. It's a game I always come back to when I need that pick me up. It spawned my biggest comfort character to this date, that being Nick Valentine. He is the first character I got attached to that wasn't a villain. His character is a symbol of hope in some of my darker days. This game also gave me a good source for writing and artistic projects I actually enjoyed putting together.

So happy 9th birthday, Fallout 4.
