- York wants to go on all of the more dangerous slides and keeps running by the side of the pools, so North is sent to follow him around to stop him from doing something really stupid - Carolina and Tex end up having a competition over who can ride the most extreme water slides the most times - Everyone keeps pushing Connie into the pool in places that are out of her depth - Florida looses his hairtie half way down a waterslide and comes out the other end looking like the girl from the grudge - The chlorine plays hell with Wyoming’s hair and he can’t get his moustache to lie flat for a few days afterwards - Maine is too tall to use the waterslides so he ends up dragging Wash around the pool on a rubber ring - South holes herself up in the corner of one of the pools and engages anyone who comes near her in a violent splash-fight - Wash loses his swimming shorts when he tries to jump off the diving board - They all have to leave when someone attempts to harass Connie and Florida goes into protective dad mode™ and dropkicks the guy into the nearest pool and gets kicked out for violent behaviour. Before leaving, Florida assures the lifeguard that tells him to leave that the damage would have been worse if he had let Connie fight back

- Delta and Epsilon are sent to supervise Theta in the kids pool but lose sight of him within a few minutes because neither of them could bring their glasses into the pool - Gamma gets asked to leave after he is found by the kids pool telling the children that they’ll die if they accidentally drink the pool water - Omega gets a few moments of glory where he manages to chase everyone out of the wave pool and declares himself ‘pool overlord’, before a lifeguard tells him to stop hitting people with floats to get them out of the way - They all lose sight of Sigma, then find him an hour later submerged under the water of one of the pools, coming up for breath only occasionally. it’s widely agreed that the fact that Sigma can open his eyes under the water and stay there for minutes at a time is unsettling to say the least

Damn straight. Fuck, I’ll host GED classes in the damn library if it keeps kids safe. I’ll share what skill with words I have, what life experience I have, and make sure that the kids in my community come home safe and stay that way. Remember kids: Student walk-outs and sit-in protests are incredibly effective, because it means that the system is breaking down. Their authority only goes as far as you let it. Don’t bring weapons to protests. Don’t bring mace or tear gas to protests. Get bottled water, at least six bottles per person for four hours. Pack a first aid kit. Ace bandages, band-aids, water, dried gatorade (a scoop in a bottle of water helps prevent heat stroke due to dehydration), and sunscreen. Keep emergency contacts on all cell phones, and if possible appoint someone in the group to be the designated emergency contact caller. Their job, if shit goes south, is to run to safety and call parents, call friends, call help, not just the police. Don’t be afraid of Juvie. Your record is expunged at 18, if the crime isn’t something like murder.

The public school system cannot function without students attending, this is a supremely effective strategy.

Keep up with and take food to those who rely on free and reduced lunches. Find a homeschool co-op or go attend classes at those online k-12 things. If you’re old enough to drive now is the time to start carpooling.

Dadvid Goes Back To School

-Max could get through school with half a pencil but that doesn’t stop David from buying 3 of every piece of school supplies.

-David tries to get Max a bunch of new clothes but they end up leaving with just another hoodie.

-Max starts giving away the extra pencils to kids that won’t stop asking to borrow them.

-He only wears the hoodie David bought him, on test days. He claims it’s a coincidence.

-David signs up for the PTA.

-David dedicates a whole chunk of wall to Max’s good marks. He’s shows it off every time people come over.

-Max’s marks start to improve now that he’s getting recognition for them. His teachers thinks he’s cheating. Max has never seen David that mad before.

-Max gets packed lunches with post it notes, reminding him of tests and hoping he’s having a good day. He slowly stops throwing them out.

-David becoming familar with all the people in the office because he finds himself there regularly. They all love him. He brings them cookies every holiday season.

-Max finding himself asking for David’s help with homework more frequently. He may be an idiot but he’s good at long division.

-David secretly re-learning Max’s age group’s curriculum so that he can help with homework.

-Max’s report card comes in with all A’s and they go out for ice cream.

-Max having a parent be proud of him, encouraging him. David getting to see Max apply the potential he saw from the start.
