Hey guys, it’s been a while! I am thinking about being more active on this blog again. Do I have any readers? ;) However. On friday I’m doing final rounds in chemistry olympiad here in Sweden - I’m hoping to make the national team! I’ve made it to top 10, and 4 make the team, so my odds are ok at least. Sunday to thursday I’m going away for 5 days to present my project work for high school (100 h into one report). I’m feeling a bit nervous. //20/3-17

2015 RECAP

2015 hasn’t been the best year for me, it’s been quite stressful actually, but I think it’s a year that have helped me grow a lot into my own skin, mature a lot and lastly it has been a very good year academically.

This autumn I did the sweSATs (Högskoleprovet) for the first time, with the outcome 1.85 which means I can get into basically any university in Sweden however my grades turn out. Yey! I have also been doing good with my grades, and to this point I have straight A’s which I am very proud of (in Sweden we get grades per finished course so for instance I will have 5 different grades in just maths when I am done with high school (gymnaiset) in 2017). To this point I have gotten grades in 8 or 9 different subjects (I think?) and next up is physics which I finish right after the break.

My resolutions for 2015 were to read more books, be more open as a person/get closer to friends and do well in school. I’ve read 26 books for 2015, which is not a lot, but I’ve really focused to read a lot of classics and books in english (instead of swedish) so it’s quality before quantity, I guess!

The goals about being more open and find more and closer friends are harder to evaluate. I have gotten some new friends and gotten to know a few better, but that goal is the one that has gone the “worst”, to my opinion. I don’t really feel that very deep connection with any of my friends for the moment which is what I really wished to have gotten, but those things come and go I guess.

Academically as I said I am very satisfied.

Hey guys, sorry I've been so inactive! I just don't have a lot of motivaton for the moment, but I'm really trying to gather myself to kind of wrap up this semester. I have like 6 tests to go so I really need to just study. Currently I'm doing biology. It's fun, but my teacher is very frugal (?) with her grading. She told me I could get an A though so I'm hoping and for the best! 10/05-15

Today was a good day for chemistry - one of my favourite subjects as we speak! I’ve had a great day, I went for a really long walk with my sister as we had no school today (in Sweden the 1st of May is a red day in the calendar). Hope you all are doing fantastic and not being all stressed out over this test-dense part of the semester. 01/05-15

Life survival tip #1

Feel like you have a lot of school work, constantly piling up? Here’s a simple hack that will cost you little and will give you lot:

When you get small assignments in school, like learning words, try to always do them right away. Stay 15 minutes after school, do them on the bus ride home or however you prefer, but just get them done! This will not only make you feel more accomplished and kick-start your productivity, but it will also give you more space to focus on the bigger and more important tasks. Plus you don’t need to carry as much home (if you stay and do them in school)! 27/04-15

Hello there friends! Today I was feeling a bit crafty and made some really affordable bookmarks. I bought these price-tag-formed aquarelle papers for like 50 cent each at a convenience store here in Sweden. I then decorated them, by first laying a base of watercolour which I let dry for about an hour under a heavy object (to prevent from curling), and then painted on details with a black marker and some highlighters. Afterwards I sprayed them to keep them from staining the books. To finish up I used some ribbons originally attached on clothes as “bookmark-ribbons”. I think they came out great and it took like no time. Recommending for anyone who like crafting and need some cute bookmarks! 26/04-15
