How are people mad at the amount of Devil's Minion we're getting this season? In the books, Daniel didn't even have a NAME yet in The Vampire Lestat. Now, our boys are BEHEADING the protagonists together!

People are claiming crumbs? My siblings in Christ, the Queen of the Damned arc is when Devil's Minion burrowed into our heads and removed our brains to be liquified in the blender of obsession before lovingly being placed back in our skulls. What genuinely frustrates me is the scene with Michael. It feels like it was written by people who base their understanding of the characters on fanfiction stereotypes rather than on the actual show or the book.

Aziraphale wouldn’t have kept fluttering around Michael, endlessly talking about forgiveness. He might have tried that for a moment—because compassion is part of who he is—but the second it became clear it wasn’t working, he would have switched modes and done whatever was necessary to fix the situation. That’s exactly the pattern we’ve seen from him throughout the story.

This doesn’t even reflect how Aziraphale actually behaves in situations of real danger. When it mattered, Aziraphale switched gears completely and pointed a gun at Adam. When it mattered, he tore the halo from his own forehead and incinerated the demons. Above all else, Aziraphale is a fighter—a warrior. He may not enjoy that part of himself, but that’s how an angel responds when the situation becomes critical: with absolute resolve. He doesn’t stand there fluttering around the person who’s destroying everything. This is one of the most out-of-character portrayals of Aziraphale in s3.

How am i supposed to go on about my day knowing claudia and madeleine are apart? That madeleine accepted death hoping to be reunited with claudia in the afterlife only for claudia to be stuck nowhere bc of her unfinished business, unable to move on. That she has looked everywhere for her and she is surely looking for her lover too, wherever she is. That destiny is so cruel and after having such hard lives and a short time with each other, STILL not even in death can they rest peacefully together.

Not sure how to reconcile with the way iwtv/tvl handled the dynamic of Lestat and Louis forgiving each other. Louis is by no means innocent or the perfect victim but like….he was still a victim of Lestat’s abuse. And the racial aspect of this shouldn’t be ignored and cast aside in favor of a love story between two monsters. Louis literally compares how Lestat talks to him to being a slave. I would love to hear how some Black fans feel about this, as a lot of what I see on this topic is from people who aren’t fans or have only seen the first two seasons. This fandom in general just seems SO uninterested in the layers of abuse and victimhood in this show overall, in favor of blorbos being special and cutesy.

On top of this, Lestat downplays his abuse by saying it’s the blood of Akasha or that he’s just a monster. Which is like. ???? Bruh idc you did what you did. They both hurt Claudia, they hurt each other, they hurt other people. But ultimately Lestat brutalized Louis, tormented him, treated him like he was lesser than when it was convenient, etc. and the audience isn’t stupid! We saw that. But yk. Tvl seems to be simplifying this a little bit. The seance gives me hope for further nuance in the writing but…I’d argue most of Louis’ transgressions were against Claudia and not Lestat. And the show maybe agrees? But also acts like they’re on even ground?

Idk it’s complicated and I am by no means an expert on any of this. It’s just an aspect of the show I think is severely downplayed in fandom and that bothers me!

Also, Lestat never even apologized for all of the abuse he had done to Louis and Claudia. When they meet at the end of ss2 its just Louis saying "it's not on you". Babe, are you delusional or something? He killed your daughter, figuring out that Armand ain't shit doesn't change the fact that Lestat ain't shit, Louis.

My interpretation of what Claudia said is that at the end of the day she never expected Lestat to be someone other than who he had proven himself to be over and over. But Louis, she wanted more from him. And he just infantilized her, lied to himself, lied to her, and ultimately was selfish while trying to act like he wasn’t. At least she could trust Lestat to be a monster to her. They tried to kill him, so he killed her. I think that’s more honest than Louis ever was. Perhaps she was just tired of being angry at Lestat, she spent so much time in the mortal world like that and now she can be mad at Louis.

But Louis’ whole attitude with Lestat I have a harder time understanding. It’s like he’s lost any conviction :( the writing kinda flopped there

I agree. If they were to write the story in a way that favor loustat then at least they got to resolve their past problem in some way. I don’t really like how ss1 and 2 are kind of disregarded here. I can maybe like maybe understand why lestat does the things that he does (there’s no excuse for any of those actions tho) but louis should’ve hated him with a passion. I honestly thought that daniel has finally slaped some senses into his brain.

While Claudia was definitely telling the truth, in that she really did hate Louis by the time she died, I don't think we should take it to mean she hated him the entire time. Resented him, absolutely. Hated him at times, yes. But love and hate don't really work like that, not with someone so close to you. You can both hate, even resent, and still love someone, all at the same time.

The biggest proof that Claudia still loved Louis was that she came back for him in Paris. She already had everything she wanted - her freedom, Madeleine, a whole new life. But she came back because she wanted to see Louis.

And, with this, signed her own death warrant. The man Louis chose was going to kill her. And then she watched Lestat apologise to Louis but not her, and Louis looking back at him with pained love in his eyes (come on, Louis was totally lying when he said he wasn't moved, you could see it in his face). Lestat could have saved her, but he chose to save Louis instead. And Louis forgave him for it, and they got back together. Now he gets to have with Lestat what Claudia couldn't have with Madeleine.

Of course she hates his guts now, more than ever before.
