AARON RODGERS SAYS HE WAS LIED TO BY RYAN BRAUN - Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers says he was “shocked" when his friend Ryan Braun admitted he violated baseball’s rules against using performance-enhancing substances. Rodgers says the Milwaukee Brewers slugger “looked me in the eye" and it “didn’t feel great being lied to like that." He says he’s disappointed. Braun has accepted a season-ending 65-game suspension. He and Rodgers are friends and co-own a Milwaukee restaurant together.  In February of 2012, Rodgers answered a Twitter follower who asked him if he really believed Braun didn’t use PEDs. His reply: “@toddsutton ya I’d put my salary next year on it. ‪#‎ponyup‬ ‪#‎exonerated‬,” Rodgers tweeted. I don’t think Rodgers will really give up his salary, but I did hear Mr. Sutton on the Jay Mohr show on Wednesday and he did state that he would take $5,000 from Rodgers to give to his favorite charity. Sounds fair enough to me. Rodgers has not tweeted since news of Braun’s suspension broke, but on Thursday at training camp, Rodgers said he was simply “backing up a friend."
