I’ve posted nothing but text posts lately, and that’s not exciting, so here are a few photos from my visit to a local religious headquarters campus. They told me it was their version of the Vatican. (*)

But anyway, I’m posting for the architecture. Each photo is from the same campus, but of vastly different architecture. And being the fantasy nerd that I am, here is where my mind wandered as I strolled around.

Photo 1: This felt like walking through King’s Landing. (Game of Thrones) Although I do intend to go back in the snow and see if it gives off any Winterfell/Night’s Watch vibes.

Photo 2: Um, hi, yes, I’m looking for the Sheriff of Nottingham? (Robin Hood)

Photo 3: This is what Osgiliath must have looked like on a nice sunny day before it was destroyed and largely sunk into the Anduin. (Lord of the Rings) But no seriously, while the other two are impressions, this one really screams at me. I’m not sure what this architectural type is. [If any of you know, do give a shout.] Its neither Gothic nor Romanesque. It’s almost like a merger of the two? But what it looks exactly like is Gondoran/Númenorean architecture, so that’s where I’m taking it.

(* I went for the ‘Gram, not to convert. Just throwing that out there.)
