Moving to Icaria where Nadia and Max both were was a no-brainer for the architect. Since she was young, the other woman had always looked after her, and once Max got added to the mix he did as well. Both of them were aware that she didn’t see the world the same way they did, so they liked to be around to make sure no one really messed with Dylan. When Nadia entered her home, Dyl made sure to stop working and head over to where she knew she’d find her gorgeous friend. “You know how he is, honeybee,” she said with a sympathetic smile. “He always tries to do what’s best. It’s how he’s wired. What did he do this time though? Do you want tea to help you calm down? Or cuddles? Or both!”
“That’s the thing! I know how he is, so why do I even bother? He’s never gonna listen, he never takes my advice, and he plays by his own rules, yet I get caught up in his mess? I’m a child of the goddess of chance, yet I have the worst luck in the entire world,” Nadia said. She felt like all the bad lucks accumulated and she caught them all. She was glad that Dylan decided to move with them to Icaria. Dylan was the opposite of Max. Dylan knew how to handle Nadia’s temper. Max seemed to make it worse and irritate her more. “Both, please,” she said, giving Dylan a small smile. Tea wasn’t going to help her calm down, but she didn’t want to hurt her feelings. “He got into some trouble with the Garganno brothers that, apparently, even I can’t fix. But what kind of plan is this? Move to a place where they can’t find us? That’s it? We don’t even know anyone on this island.”
