Five minutes only, to feel what cannot be described !
I feel a deep sadness and an indescribable longing. I feel cold, but not the cold of the harsh weather, rather the cold of loss, the cold of needing my warm home, the place where my children used to fill it with joy and warmth. I miss those small moments I lived with my family in our house, where dreams and hope filled the corners.
I want to embrace my children in that house where I left my memories and ambitions. I want to sit with them at the dinner table, preparing their favorite meals, and make the crepe filled with chocolate and fruits, a dish my child never got tired of asking for. I used to make it for them with all my love, just to see their faces light up with happiness.
I miss hugging them after a long day at school, when they come home, eager to close the distance between us. I miss those moments when my husband used to surprise me with a small gift, just to bring joy to my heart. I miss everything — my clothes, our stories, our conversations, our laughter, and the daily mischief of my children.
But all of that is now just a memory, as nothing in Gaza is the same anymore. Even its streets, which were once full of life, have now become dark and frightening, ravaged by destruction everywhere. We now smell the scent of death in every corner, and I feel that my children, my husband, and I may soon become part of the past.
My friends, please, help me escape this nightmare. Let me leave Gaza safely to rebuild my lost life. I need your support, even the smallest help. You cannot imagine how much I need everything, even the basics of life, which are the natural rights of every human being.
