Be like the ocean. Breathtaking to look at, strong enough to not be destroyed, and gentle enough so others find comfort in your presence.
cwbrooke (via wnq-writers)
“Other people don’t get to invalidate your truth. They can disagree with it. They can struggle to understand it. They can carry a truth that conflicts with your own — but they don’t have the authority to tell you what your truth should or shouldn’t be. You feel what you feel and you need what you need. Those things just are. It’s how you’re wired, and it’s okay. Other people can feel and need different things — and their truth is valid in its own right — but it doesn’t discount your own. Your truth comes without judgment. It can’t be wrong because it’s yours. Not theirs; not anyone else’s. It’s yours — and it’s your right to embrace and honor it.

I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for teaching me who God is and showing me what it’s like to have a relationship with him, without you..I would not have known who God really is. Thank you for giving me a sense of adventure and weirdness. Lord knows I could never be as carefree or spontaneous as you, it’s just not in my nature. But you taught me not to live my life with everything according to plan and with everything structured. Working until we die is empty. Thank you for all of the forgiveness you showed me and teaching me that being truthful is always the best way to be. The truth always comes out one way or another. Thank you for keeping me young even when I was suppose to be growing up and moving on to my adult life. Thank you for being a huge part in the person I am today.
Being nostalgic because my life is about to change all over again after I graduate college and I have been reading my old journals and thinking about writing that book I have always wanted to write. That’s all.
