At Target this lady told her son he couldn’t have a Wonder Woman doll because “that’s for girls” and then bought her daughter the same one. It got me thinking about how often I see people bar young boys from appreciating girls/women as protagonists and heroes, and my own experience with it as a kid.

This image appears to be of the lose carrots that one finds in the bins where you can choose your own carrots, yes? You would not expect this to be a pre-packaged bag of carrots, right? Well that's what I thought at least, so I requested 1 pound.

I received, admittedly for the price listed, a 25 POUND BAG of carrots.

Well, Too Many Carrots Day has learned some moderation.

I ordered two carrots. There is no longer a "bulk carrots per lb" option, but I did select the loose carrots.

I ordered 2. I have received 3. This is a tolerable amount of extra carrot.

I really like this russian edition of classic books. Letting famous artists do the covers in YA style was such a simple but clever decision. According to the recent study the number of teenage readers increased, possibly thanks to these covers. I own traditional classics with blank covers but if I ever see one of these in the wild, it’ll probably make me go feral.
