WANTED: Top of My World Nicole by OPI nail polish

I don't know if this nail polish is new or old, but when I took a trip to one of my local Shoppers Drug Marts, I saw THIS BABY.

(the middle one, not my photo) Honestly I saw this nail polish and it just blew my mind. The pretty blueish purple glitter looks like it GLOWS, and almost looks like stars. It looks great on a plain nail, or over a solid colour like white or black! Over black it looks like the night sky :) This is on my wanted list because sadly I didn't buy it :( I went to that Shoppers Drug Mart, then went to a different one after that the same day and they didn't have it at that Shoppers. I am DEFINITELY going to buy it the next time I see it. :)

Interesting Nail Fact Segment

I decided that I should make a new segment in my tumblr, hmmm.. how about every Tuesday and Wednesday? We'll see how it goes. Anyways I was thinking I should make Nail Hub just a bit more interesting with a Nail Fact Segment. FACT numero uno ;) Did you know that the Chinese invented nail polish in 3000 B.C.? There wasn't a specific person who invented it, but it was used a lot by people in China and Egypt. It was made out of Arabic Gum, Egg whites, gelatin and bees wax. Royal chinese people commonly used gold and silver nail polish. How do you like this new segment? :) You'll learn interesting facts about your nails and more!

Opal Nails

Things you'll need (REMEMBER IT'S SIMILAR TO THE MARBLE NAILS PICTURE I POSTED) -any pastel colour (example: light blue like in the picture) - colourful crackle nail polish (like pinky red or a lavender) -Essie nail polish in Shine of the Times from the Luxeffects collection -any glossy clear coat 1. Wash your hands first always 2. If you want to, trim your nails, file them, remove your cuticles...etc. 3. Take the light, pastel colour, and apply it to your nails. Usually 2 coats will do the trick. Make sure everything's dry before you go onto the next step. 4. Take a crackle nail polish colour, and pretty much "sploch" some randomly on each nail. Vary it with about 2 crackles (because opals have colours in them) You can just do an accent finger with the crackle if you want, but I feel like doing them all with colour crackle sploches are more realistic. 5. Take the Essie luxeffects top coat in Shine of the Times because it has beautiful flecks similar to the flecks in opals, and put 1-2 layers on top of each nail. Whatever you prefer. 6. Wait til those layers dry, then apply 1 coat to set the design and to give it a little shine. 7. Make sure everything's dry in the end! YOUR NAILS WILL LOOK SIMILAR TO THIS BUT I GAVE IT A TWIST WITH THE ESSIE AND ALL OF THE NAILS HAVING CRACKLE.
