Mark Twain got it Right
An excerpt fromĀ āLetters from the Earthā.
ā¦they [Adam & Eve] heard God walking among the bushes (which was an afternoon custom of His), andĀ they were smitten with fright. Why? Because they were naked. They had not known it before. They had not minded it before. Neither had God. In that memorable moment immodesty was born, and some people have valued it ever since, though it would certainly puzzle them to explain why. Adam and Eve entered the world naked and unashamed - naked and pure minded. and no descendant of theirs has ever entered it otherwise. All have entered it naked, unashamed and clean in mind. They entered it modest. They had to acquire immodesty in the soiled mind; there was no other way to get it. A Christian motherās first duty is to soil her childās mind, and she does not neglect it.
I think today we should change āChristian Mothersā to āAmerican Parentsā. Europeans seem to have evolved a bit, even the Christian ones. But we could all stand to grow up a bit.
The thing I find most shocking about nudity is that people find it shocking
Most people are naked at least at some point everyday. I've always asked my friends that have questions about me being a nudist, "Do you get aroused just being naked, in the shower, changing clothes or just being naked by yourself in a normal setting?" They all respond, "No". So why is being nude such a big deal? They say because they are around other nude people. That shows society is creating a since of "sex" by arousal from the human body. Don't get me wrong, natural attraction happens, but, you don't have to have sex because you're nude. I'll keep this short, most of my friends have a high interest in being nudists, and love not wearing clothes, but they have unregulated thoughts because they do not know any different.
You gotta love dogs!!! š

The story of Adam and Eve tells us they were both naked and free until they ate the apple in the Garden of Eden. Then they were embarrassed by their nudity, and both scrambled to find anything to cover their bodies šš The same goes for the rest of humanity. We are naked, proud, and free until we hit a certain age, and society deems it inappropriate to be without clothes. Not only are we taught to start wearing clothes ā which in all honesty isnāt that big of a deal, but we are propagandized into believing that if we arenāt wearing clothes, then we should be ashamed of ourselves and our bodies. Well, stories repeat themselves.. When you take off your clothes, there will always be that trigger, āOh, do I look alright? And if we think not, there isnāt much we can do to change it. But when we wear clothes, we can easily manipulate our image until we decide we are happy with it. However, that doesnāt change how we honestly feel about ourselves. It only ensures others see us how we want to be perceived. The many layers of covering up, our makeup, clothes, attitudes, and identities all serve to validate ideas, much less to celebrate our real selves šš» Releasing clothes is like releasing a burden! And donāt we all feel a bit free once we get home and strip down to our bare skin? It doesnāt matter what our bodies look like for us to be comfortable in it. It is merely a practice that transforms our psyche. And it gets easier the more we do it. Even if thatās staying undressed a bit longer before or after taking a shower, getting naked more often will get you comfortable in your body, guaranteed š¤ Our bodies are our first homes, and it would serve us well if we learned to appreciate it. Disliking or not being comfortable with our bodies can also be an oversimplification of a more significant issue. Does being naked make you feel less complicated? This is exactly how it works with me šæ
NO SHAME! All bodies are beautiful! :)Ā
