Succumbing to pregnant!Robert propaganda.

Baby clearly has fire powers. Robert gets the most intense, unbearable hot flashes and is always uncomfortable. He has the worst morning sickness, can't keep anything down. He can barely get out of bed.

Flambae is trying everything he can to make this more comfortable for Robert. Cooks him a myriad of different things to find the thing that he can actually eat and won't trigger his morning sickness. Flambae will absolutely go out at 3am to buy Robert something he's craving. Constantly gives him foot rubs and back rubs. Throws out all the candles and anything that has scent.

Robert feels incredibly guilty, but he can't cuddle with Flambae anymore, even though he really, really wants to. Flambae is just too hot, on top of his hot flashes, it's literally torture. He needs to soak in ice water for a bit just to feel okay.

Flambae feels terrible about all of this. He'd fucking love a baby with Robert, but if it means he has to suffer so much, Flambae genuinely considers calling the whole thing off. Which, of course, does not go well with Robert.

"Are you fucking insane? This is our child, Chad."

"I know, azizam," Flambae looks torn. "But you're more important than the baby."

"I'm fine." Robert sighs, rubbing over the small bump. "I've been through worse, remember?"

"I don't want you to suffer anymore." Flambae frowns, teary. "I promised I'd take care of you and protect you. It means fucking nothing if your body is all fucked up because of me."

Robert softens and takes Flambae's hand gently, giving it a squeeze. "We promised we'd love and protect this child, Chad. I'm ok with being a little uncomfortable if this baby comes out healthy." Robert nuzzles against Flambae's cheek, breathing him in. It's been a while since they've been this close, and god Robert wants to sink into him so badly. "I really want your baby, Chad."

Flambae melts, pressing his lips against any expanse of skin he can reach, littering Robert's face with kisses. Robert giggles, the sound so incredibly lovely since Robert's emotions have been all over the place and has been crying a lot.

"I love you." He murmurs. "And I'm sorry. I'll do anything for you and the baby."

"I know." Robert's lips find his, and Robert's whole body relaxes. "I love you too."

Some pregnant!Robert headcanons:

After the first trimester when Robert has gotten much more used to the heat, Flambae's fires no longer hurt him.

He needs to drink a lot of hot liquid to keep his body temperature high because the baby will die if his body is too cold (he's literally growing a sentient ball of fire inside him).

Cuddles with Flambae gets better because of that too.

When Robert is heavily pregnant, Flambae will lift the bump any chance he gets and loves how Robert melts into him, relieved from the pressure.

Robert's sweet tooth is worse than before, if Flambae lets him, he will eat pure sugar for meals (Flambae does not let him).

Hormonal fluctuations means Robert cries a lot. The Z-Team has gotten scared a few times because they made Robert cry from their usual quips. Robert doesn't like that his body does that but he also weaponizes it to make the Z-Team perform better.

During the second trimester, Robert is so. so. horny. Flambae needs to work overtime to please him (good thing he's a super, poor Chad is being bled dry)

When the baby starts moving everyone in office wants a feel. Victor in particular likes listening to the baby move and will relay what sounds he can hear to Robert and Flambae.

Malevola monitors Robert's health a lot. This is weird but Robert also drinks water from Herm because his water has healing properties, ensuring the baby is safe and healthy (Flambae does not. like that)

Mal and Katon-Ur has gifted them many strange things that apparently promises safe delivery from where they're from.
