Souji is just gonna ... play with Manami's hair. Running his finger through the unbraided strands gently. She has such long hair....

Manami glances over at Souji and smiles sweetly as he does. She always really enjoyed it when he played with her hair. Sometimes she wondered if it some how was a calming or soothing technique for him..? “Rough day, my samurai…?”

“Yea…  A long patrol with a few drunk rouges right as we were heading back to base…. It wasn’t the best scenario but no casualties on our side.” 

He spoke calmly as he continued to play with her hair. A calm smile on his lips as he did so. Outside this room he was a jerk and always an asshole it seemed… but with Manami… He didn’t have to hide who he was…. 

“And before you ask, no I haven’t had a coughing attack for three days now.” 

Just to make sure….

“That’s good to hear. I’m glad things went well for you and the others tonight. A pity those Rogues can’t keep their stupidity to themselves though. After everything I’ve seen, I can testify that the quickest way to someone’s death is their own stupidity.” Softly she sighed as she continued to write in her book. There was the biggest smile on her face as she listened to him try to reassure her about his condition.  “That’s good! It means the medicine is working. Please, keep taking it like I directed, okay..? I know you don’t like the taste very much.. but if it means we get to be together a little bit longer..” For a moment she went silent again.  A doodle appearing in her book of a Souji-Cat and a Manami-Fox.
