Kiri Kids Romeo and Juliet AU

The AU part isn’t even the Romeo and Juliet element, it’s that they’re just drama kids who get way too into it instead of violent revolutionaries. Gotta put that energy and flair to good use

— Hassaku and Hebiichigo are Romeo and Juliet. Ichirouta is Paris and Kyouhou is the Friar 

— Buntan and Shizuma have to flip a coin to see who gets to be Tybalt and who gets to be Mercutio 

— Shizuma ends up being Mercutio and honestly, he doesn’t mind one bit 

— Kagura awkwardly asks who he should play and all six of the others say “Benvolio” in unison without looking up 

— Suigetsu guest stars as the prince, mostly so he can tell everyone to shut the fuck up 

— During the duel scene Suigetsu doesn’t look up until halfway through the fight, when he has a Very Bad Feeling, glances at the stage, and almost has a heart attack when he realizes Buntan and Shizuma have somehow gotten the real, actual Kiba and Samehada and are having wayyyyy too much fun 

— Everyone is surprised that Hebiichigo manages to act romantic without it being creepy as hell. Maybe it helps that she changed her makeup for the play 

— Nobody is surprised that Shizuma makes the death scene dramatic as fuck. He gets to practically bleed out in Kagura’s arms what did any of them expect

I really, really, REALLY need a *Dead Plate* fanfic featuring Lord Shen and Wolf Boss. Some kind soul—an angel sent by God—NEEDS to write a Lord Shen/Wolf Boss + Dead Plate fanfic.

Does anyone have a headcanon they’d like to share? I have one.

🦚 Lord Shen tends to be harder on Wolf Boss so the latter has to work more, because he finds it slightly attractive the way that irresistible man walks around being clumsy and desperate.

It would be really cool if the flowers emerging from him were red carnations, since the flower literally signifies revolution and Shizuma is a great (or small) revolutionary—plus, it would allude to the suffering he endured after his revolution failed.
