Merula's character development

Is it bad I want them to try and take into account the character development we've made progress on our mcs relationship with Merula looking at videos that are way ahead of my current playthrough would it be too much to ask Merula just outright tell the truth we know she considers us to be a friend and possibly something more depending on the choices we make, cause Jesus Christ at least try to make the character development matter.
