I would like to submit to the jury: the treatment of Sasha Bordeaux.

In the Bruce Wayne: Fugitive storyline, Bruce Wayne was wrongfully accused of killing a woman named Vesper Fairchild. His bodyguard and crime fighting companion Sasha Bordeaux was charged as an accomplice and they were both sent to prison.

However, when Bruce escaped and had his mid-life crisis, Sasha was left to rot in prison and lose her mind, ultimately being so injured there she was so heavily injured she would have died if government agency Checkmate hadn’t given her medical treatment in a ploy to recruit her.

Despite his abandoning her, Sasha maintained Bruce’s innocence the entire time, even when numerous lawyers told her they could get her out of there if she provided testimony of Bruce killing Vesper.

He used her and threw her out, and she nearly died in the process.

Just look at these panels. Fucking brutal.
