happy year of the horse!! i finally finished this piece like 2 months too late lol but hey i finished it in the right year at least...

i was thirst baited into playing sultan's game last year (gaise have you seen the official game poster?!) except i found out the hard way that it's actually a strategic game that fries your brain with like 50+ endings 😭 one day, i'll get to the 1 ending where i get to do unspeakable things to the sultan...

(p.s. if the horse reminds you of a certain character it's not a coincidence...)

rushed this one (i procrastinated a little too much) but for a 2 hr doodle i'm pretty happy with how it turned out!

Cloud Strife on the cover of GQ Midgar

spent the whole weekend drawing this bad boy for kupocon (i didn't think i would make it in time but i love to prove myself wrong!)

you can probably tell that i took a lot of inspiration from prog rock and visual kei artists when i was working on this piece lol

this is part of my long-standing ff7 kpop vers headcanon (in which cloud strife is NOT a kpop star but part of a rock band called AVALANCHE, with tifa, barret, jessie, and biggs being the other members)

i'll draw more of this kpop vers eventually!

Legend of Hei shifu-disciple trio reimagined in the context of SPYxFAMILY because who doesn't like spy vers AU?!

I was looking through the official merch store and they had so many AUs/paros (e.g., actor AU, detective AU, etc) so i thought this would be fun haha. I actually have some more spy vers ideas but I'm sooo behind on all my projects right now... maybe when i have more time...

ウータイの亡霊 | the phantoms of wutai

i lost count of how many hands i ended up drawing but there's definitely more in 10 in there and i died 5 times over drawing all of them. now i can finally be set free from this brain worm and get some rest

for this piece, i took inspiration from xooang choi's sculpture "the wing" where hands grab onto one another to form a pair of wings. initially, the intention was that the phantom hands would form sephiroth's single wing but visually it didn't work very well (in choi's work, the hands are pointed the other way so the fingers become the "feathers"). still, i wanted to keep the imagery of the hands and i wanted the body language of the hands to convey a mix of desperation, rage, and helplessness (some hands more than others).

i recently discovered polyphia and i've been listening to them alot lately. one day, my brain worm was like "yanno rukawa would look rad with a throat tattoo" and the idea has had a chokehold on me ever since.

this is a story that's been living in my head rent free for a while now and I've only recently had the courage to put it down on paper.

this is my first time taking on narrative illustration, and it was really an opportunity for me to put everything i love into one thing.

it's by no means perfect - there's still a lot i want to improve on, skill-wise, but i also had a lot of fun making it and i hope you'll enjoy it too!

Tried experimenting with a few things in this piece - there's definitely still a lot that I can improve on for next time but I kinda like how it turned out!
