social media should not be your life!

we often become so consumed by social media that we neglect BEING actual people in our own lives.

our lives should not constantly be about retweets, celebrities, likes, follows or keeping up with trends. there’s more to life and there’s more to us

life is passing us by as we bury our heads in our phones. as we post the recents of our loved ones on their birthdays instead of being there to celebrate them, precious time is passing us by.

don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with being on social media. that would be foolish to say, although excessive and obsessive usage of social media is truly unhealthy and worrisome.

let’s let the time we spent w people and w ourselves be more important. let the many trips to restaurants, art galleries, parties, concerts, movies, skate parks, golf courses, beach picnics and boat cruises take more of our time than instagram and twitter.

stop retweeting what life you want and start living it, in any way possible. LIVE!
