* You guys can't just say "cringe culture is dead" and then only apply that saying to children and/or immediately turn around and make fun of something harmless that's been deemed "cringey." That's not how it works!!! You're just perpetuating it!!! You can't do both!!! Don't just associate openly enjoying cool stuff and being happy about it on here with children!!! "Cringe culture is dead" means "let people enjoy harmless things, and don't be afraid to enjoy harmless things yourselves!!!!" How old something is doesn't matter to this stuff, either!!! You don't have to act like it's not okay to enjoy stuff because a lot of people enjoyed it at the same time once a couple years ago!!! You don't have to look cool or "normal" or whatever all the time!!! Let people be weird, and let yourself be weird too!!! Just don't genuinely cause harm to anyone!!

* tl;dr let people of all ages enjoy stuff and don't make fun of the things they're enjoying if it isn't causing genuine harm to anyone, because that will just encourage people to keep all of their happiness about the thing to themselves

having to be “mature” at a young age sucks bc you aren’t really “mature-mature” you’re a child playing at a maturity bc you don’t have the foundation to be the bigger person when conflict arrives so what you do is ignore it bc ignoring a problem and being happy about a resolution look the same to your inexperienced eyes. Then you get adults praising you for a development above your peers but you aren’t really developing. You’re stagnant. Your peers will grow up and experience things and make mistakes and grow from them but you will keep yourself in this box, ignoring things ignoring ignoring ignoring until one day you have to face the fact… it wasn’t maturity you had. It was fear. And now you’re an adult too and you make all of your choices based on an emotional risk/costs analysis bc you don’t know any emotion other than fear & you have to start healing from your own childhood by making peace that you weren’t really a mature child. You were just a child who was given too much to carry & didn’t know how to say “no”.

i shouldn’t be this offended (i’m not actually pls no one think i’m legit mad over anime) because a lot of these posts come from new fans but i’ve seen a few headcanon posts like “kyo’s room is a mess, yuki keeps his neat” or smth and like no!!! kyo is meticulous and disciplined and a more than competent cook! yuki bless his tiny rat heart is a hot mess. yuki is the sohma who lives in a disaster zone at all times and could actually burn water. yuki mixes energy drinks and drinks them out of a starbucks cup. kyo makes green tea because it’s good for him and doesn’t even add sugar.
