Well first, the fact she sent porn to a minor was so yikes to me that I blocked her the second I found that out.

Not to mention the rascism. And transphobia she was spewing out.

And her fanbase is acting like she got nuked just for being a trans woman. And maybe that is part of it but she was not a good person. You can be trans and still be a batshit person. Trust me, I've met several terrible trans people.

You are absolutely correct in the fact that cis people who commit the same atrocities aren't taken as seriously as trans women. It is transmisogyny, definitely.

I really wish those other individuals would get what she got too, because not only would it mean that there's a significant decrease in dangerous people on this platform, it eould also mean that dangerous people aren't being let off for something so trival as fucking gender identity.

Although I absolutely do believe that Patricia Taxxon deserved to be deplatformed, I think the reason she was taken off was mostly because of her gender, which is not okay.

I'm trying to get over the "white guilt" complex I've developed, and I've found the best way to do that is to simply listen to black voices while not treating them as gods I must base my entire thought process off of. To call this feminism is... genuinely laughable. The concept that there can never be a feminist space in which men's experiences are contextually centered is downright absurd.

What of men's domestic violence shelters, and other spaces for male victims of social violence? This is undeniably a space in which feminism should be present, and also that centers men. It is not a paradox.

Men, particularly marginalized men, would benefit immensely from spaces that center their issues through a feminist lens. It gives them the opportunity to understand how gender issues impact them, and how feminism can teach them about their issues.

The vast majority of feminist spaces should center women. This is not controversial in any sense. The belief that these spaces should center women does not conflict with the existence of feminist spaces that center men's issues.

At the end of the day, though, let's address what OOP's post is really about: Trans men. OOP fundamentally believes there should not be any spaces that center trans men's issues, ever, in any context. OOP believes that a marginalized group should never have a space where their issues are centered. OOP believes it is transfeminist praxis to ensure that a group of trans people never has a space where their issues can be centered.

That is the real heart of the issue. OOP does not want there to be any trans men centered spaces.

And when you put it that bluntly, you can see how frankly insidious this all is.

there's a certain type of infantilization that i've noticed with TIRFs/TRFs, where they'll bring out anecdotes (in this case, naively believing MRAs when they said they genuinely weren't trying to be misogynistic & taking them in good faith) where it is.....very clear that they're assuming transmascs haven't also had these very same experiences.

they either a) assume that we wouldn't, given those same experiences, still see transmasc oppression as a real thing,

b) have some sort of odd misguided belief that we just never had any interest in feminism or feminist spaces or had any of the same life experiences that they, a woman, have, solely because we are not women,

or c) (and I believe this is the most likely one) they are unaware of how their implicit prejudice is being activated and performed, here, where they assume that we are of some sort of "lesser" or more naive status. they assume we haven't learned those same lessons that they learned years ago, that we didn't have those same experiences, and that the problem is simply that we don't know what we're talking about and just need more time to "learn". the idea that we are autonomous human beings with our own, valuable experiences that they could possibly serve to learn from (given that they have not lived our lives, yet so confidently claim to know ours) is a thought that doesn't even cross their mind because the mental leap is so far in the background that it doesn't register as a conscious choice being made.

there was another post I saw on here with something similar a la "well we'd LET YOU keep the word transandrophobia if...", as if that is a decision they are at all entitled to be making for us. "let you", as if we ever asked permission. it's this idea that we have inferior knowledge, inferior intellect, and it is yet again this patronizing attitude that reminds me of a blog post written by Julia Serano in the early 2010s talking about whether or not trans men can reclaim the t-slur:

because one of the things I noticed immediately was that, even though she was partially defending transmascs, she was doing so in a way that was incredibly condescending and patronizing, as if we are silly little girls who cannot think for ourselves and it was somehow the job of the transfem community to ordain the transmascs with the permission to use a slur that has been used against them time and time again.

So, Patricia Taxxon has all but outright admitted to being the one responsible for the spam bot net that's been harassing me and several others.

Not only does she not deny being responsible, she victim blames those who are being targeted by the bot harassment.

I never interacted with her, I have never shared a call-out post or accusation about her, I myself have never made any claims about her whatsoever. And yet I'm getting blamed, getting told I could have chosen not to stalk her when I WAS NOT INVOLVED.

This, alongside the asks themselves claiming to be from her. (Included an example of the other spam)

I can't prove 100% its her, obviously, and I don't really care. I'm pissed she's blaming me and others like me when I had no fucking involvement whatsoever. And she's justifying this, making my ask box unusable when people come to me for advice and resources all the time. I know I normally maintain a very cordial demeanor on the blog, but I'm fucking pissed. Seriously, I'm done being nice if I'm gonna be blamed for actions I literally had no part in.
