I bet some of y'all have wondered why Jinx, despite having all of these keen senses and impeccable reflexes, just simply allows Isha to just fall right on her. If you ask me I think this a great way of demonstrating how Jinx views her own life and the lives of others.

She could've easily stepped out of the way of Isha's fall, which would no doubt hurt Isha a lot more in the process and spare Jinx herself any pain. But because Jinx chose to break her fall (and save Isha from serious injury), it shows that despite all that she's been through and despite all of her destructive and violent tendencies, there is still a piece of humanity in her, as she allows herself to be hurt herself to save someone else.

And that brings us to another critical (and very tragic) detail about this scene: SHE DOESN'T MAKE ANY ATTEMPT TO PROTECT HERSELF. She doesn't make any sort of attempt to catch Isha in her arms, and she doesn't even attempt to shield herself from the fall and just takes it all full force. In other words, she didn't just allow herself to get hurt; SHE WANTS TO GET HURT. And we see that mindset later when she says "No matter what I do, I just can't seem to die."

So when she says that she wants to "watch it all burn," she wants herself to burn as well because all of that pain and trauma she witnessed and endured has finally driven her to a point where she values her own life so little, and that's made all the more tragic by the fact that she still cares the lives of others (i.e. Vi and Isha).

As if I didn't feel sorry for her enough.

I mean come on, the look she gives Vi at the end? Like I get it, you hate me and your girlfriend wants to kill me but please don't hurt an innocent child.

It's obvious she has already started to see Powder in Isha, whether she realises it or not.

If she didn't care this frame wouldn't exist, she was protecting this kid the second she realized Sevika was going to blow the vents

I think that Jinx and Isha's relationship will parallel three separate dynamics:

1) Sibling dynamic - Vi and Jinx. Obvious parallel with Jinx being an older sister this time around. Perhaps it will make Jinx reminisce about her childhood and make her understand how much Vi actually loved her.

2) Parent/child dynamic - Where do I start? Jinx and her mom, Jinx and Vander, Jinx and Silco, Jinx and... Vi (yes, if you didn't notice, Vi was also a motherly figure for Powder after their mother's death). It will possibly make Jinx not just take responsibility but finally realise why parents protect their children at all cost and are ready to give up anything, including their own life.

3) Old/young self dynamic - Jinx and Powder - basically Jinx accepting and loving her younger self through Isha. It is the most important lesson she may learn, actually!

NOT SEEING ENOUGH PEOPLE TALK ABOUT JINX'S LITTLE FOUND FAMILY AND HOW PERFECT IT IS THEMATICALLY!!!

Specifically what I want to highlight is how Jinx found the two most important parts of herself that she lost in Sevika and Isha.

In Sevika she found a new Vi, a new older sister figure. She cannot fix things with Vi, she understands that, but her relationship with Sevika is something she can fix, and she can mourn Silco with Sevika in a way she and Vi could never mourn Vander together.

In Isha she found Powder, the person she once was who she can't be anymore. In many ways Isha gives Jinx the opportunity to protect and love Powder in the way she always wished others would do for her, quite literally Isha heals Jinx's inner child.

Adoration was a great episode. Also, a great episode for Zoe content. Zoe even took Plagg's advice to heart and stand up for herself. Zoenette was well written in Adoration as well.

The scene was so beautifully executed, though.

Marinette is so soft and much more sensible and open-minded than many adult people in the world and the show. She tells Zoe that love is not forbidden, that it can conquer all, and still implicitly talks about monogamy/polygamy. Marinette made Zoe comfortable from start to finish.

The thing I love about wenclair the most is their unbreakable bond. However you view their relationship, you cannot deny the immense amount they care for one another. It’s so heart warming to see their evolution on screen and I just know they’ll never truly leave each other
