Things were settling -- somewhat -- in the bunker ever since Octavia had asserted herself. Had forced people to make a choice. Wonkru or the enemy. Meaning, life or death. Some had chosen the latter but majority had not. And with a firm leader in place, the rest would eventually fall into place. But not without any small measure of work. Miller’s loyalty was of course to Octavia. Hell, she had been training him in the early days of the bunker and he intended on being on the guard detail, closely stationed to her to help keep her safe.
She was the only one in this damn bunker who he had known from the delinquent camp. Everyone else was either up in space, or dead. This time though, he had a purpose for approaching her as she was in the council room. He gave a light knock on the door before entering. “Octavia--” His words abruptly halted as a short lived and slight smile formed on his lips, disappearing as quickly as it formed. “Bloodreina,” he corrected. “That’s gonna take some getting used to.” The title very . . . self explanatory.

To say that Miller was freaked, was an understatement. It could have just as easily been him with that weird ass thing inside of his body. But it wasn’t. And now all Miller could do was watch him helplessly, wishing there was more he could do for him. He hated feeling so helpless, but this certainly was not his expertise. Suddenly, he was really missing Jackson. Refusing to leave his friend’s side, he turned when Clarke entered the tent. “He’s still out,” Miller told him, referring to his unconscious state. “Clarke, what are the chances he’ll make it out of this alive?” Miller knew hope was a dangerous thing, but he also knew how strong the guy was. Surely . . . he could fight through this. Problem was, they didn’t know what this was.

#Jackson and Miller’s cuteness is the saving grace of this episode
Look, you’re a healer, not a fighter.
MACKSON!!! THE MACKSON KISS! THE MACKSON ‘I LOVE YOU’ ... I AM DEAD
Is it too much to ask for a little Mackson reunion scene?! ... And maybe a kiss?!
.... Yeah, it probably is but I can dream can’t I?!?!
Jackson is so ready to knock a bitch out to save his man!!!
kidsofthekelvinhero replied to your post “JACKSON CALLS HIM NATE!!! AND HE WANTS TO SAVE THE PERSON HE LOVES!!!!”
wasn't Nate with another dude last season?
He was with Bryan but they broke up aka Jonathan [the actor] got a role in another series so instead of killing him off, they just wrote him off @kidsofthekelvinhero

Smokey growled, the large wolf seeming even greater as her fur bristled up. Bryan steadied his hands on his makeshift weapon but the wolf, naturally hitting high up to his waist, was more dangerous than that.
He knew that voice. He knew the way his name fit it- but it couldn’t be. Could it? No- no, he would have known. Someone would have said, if the Delinquents and their group had lived-
He was just going crazy, alone all these months. He tried to reaffirm himself, it could still be a grounder, and his mind tricking itself, something. He only lived by living careful. “I said, one more step!”
Miller froze when the wolf reacted but it seemed Bryan had a good control over him. And he knew that Bryan wouldn’t let him attack him. Though with that said, his question posed confusion. Or, denial rather. Miller couldn’t say he was surprised. The ground did things to them. All of them. Especially if one was alone in battling the elements and surroundings. Letting the rifle hang over his shoulder from the trap, Miller held up his hands, showing he was no threat.
“Bryan . . . it’s me,” he began to say, taking another very small step closer. The shock had not subsided within Miller but right now, he needed Bryan to recognize him. “Nate.” A nickname reserved only for those he was closest to: his father, and Bryan. To the delinquents and other Arkers, he was Miller. To his dad and Bryan, he was Nate. And he hoped that reminder did something to spark familiarity.

The entire ride there, Bryan didn’t know what to do with himself. He spent months training, trying to figure out how to shoot a gun, how to handle that guilt, how to protect his home.
Now he was just in a bus. Like that was nothing at all, as they rode to a new home. Finally getting out, the ability to just help other climb out, grab their things, occupy his hands was a start. He almost thought it was a daydream, as Nathan - his Nate - pushed through the crowd. But screw that.
Bryan rushed forward, and wrapped his arms tight as he could around Nate. “Me, too,” He said, gushing out the words. “When they told us, I thought that was it.”
There were so many things that Miller regretted. Putting his dad and Bryan through what he had in the Ark was definitely one of them. That guilt more heavily felt when he found out he was going to earth. But now, he had a chance to make that right. With both his father, and with Bryan. It made Miller feel like the luckiest guy, to have the two people he loved most in this world with him. “Me too,” Miller admitted, drawing his head back so that he could look at Bryan, a small smile upon the former delinquent’s lips. “I’m sorry.” For everything. For what he put him through. Words that needed to be said and ones that Miller was terrified he’d never have the opportunity of expressing to the man he loved.

Bryan kept around the curve of the tunnel. He aimed the crude, makeshift arrow; the bow and set was sturdy, it did its job. He just hadn’t had to use it on people in a while.
English was the first sign they were from the Ark, but what did that mean? The last arkers had left him there in the first place. At his side, Smokey was stiff, waiting for an order to leap and bite, attack.
A shadow crossed the curve of the tunnel, and he snapped, “One more step and your done!”
Things were more intense than ever. A new Chancellor, new rules . . . same enemies. With that, came the disappearance of a couple of their men and Miller, along with other guardsmen were tasked with creating a search party to look for them. Miller’s determination veered him a bit too close to Azgeda territory. After all, he didn’t forget what happened the last time they got this close. But he was sick of losing people. It was as if no matter what they did, someone was after them. Ever since the moment they landed on the damn ground.
A rustle quickly snapped him back to the present, moving his rifle to the direction from which it came, and a voice followed him. Miler froze. That voice. One that was unforgettable and yet . . . maybe it was wishful thinking that made him believe it was who it sounded like. Miller couldn’t get his hopes up like that. Farm station had come to Arkadia and Bryan wasn’t among them. But once Miller stepped into the clearing and saw the other, he could have sworn his heart skip a beat in shock. And only one word escaped him as he slowly lowered the rifle. “Bryan?”
| At Long Last |
Miller still couldn’t believe it. Even seeing Bryan standing right here before him, he couldn’t believe it. Seeing everyone from Farm station come into Arkadia, Miller was helping them get situated but he froze when he saw him. Bryan. Unable to form words or anything coherent, Miller just approached Bryan and wrapped his arms around him in a long awaited hug. The guard closed his eyes, taking in the familiar scent and feel of Bryan in his arms. He had feared he was dead. Feared he would never see him again. And yet, that never stopped him from loving the man. The man that he was lucky enough to be reunited with once more. “I thought I’d never see you again,” Miller said in a low voice, audible only to Bryan due to their close proximity.
