Harvey Putter and the Stinky Pile of TERFY Bullshit

Way back in the 90's I read the first two books of the Harvey Putter series and thought to myself, "Well, ok, then. These are books that I have read. I'ma go over there and read something different." They didn't stand out as anything out of the ordinary to me but, hey, those kids those days were devouring them and I was just glad that they were at least reading SOMETHING.

What drew me to The Fandom in later years was the wealth of wonderful, forward-thinking, queer-as-hell headcanon that filled the tumblrs. There were such lovely fan-made expansions of the story and the theme that I was drawn back to the books. Alas! I was still unable to get through any more of the books and the movies weren't much better. The actors were lovely but the stories just didn't sing to me.

So when Whatsername decided to show her terfy ass to the world it was real easy for me to consign the whole Putter-verse to the trash bin. I don't really even miss all that headcanon because there are so many wonderful, forward-thinking, queer-as-hell stories coming out these days that I can't keep up.

Anyone who has spent the last decade or more learning to type properly, anyone who has spent any time writing articles/papers/essays that require you to use 'good grammar' is going to fall into that 'oh no it might be AI' trap.

Stop hunting like it's 1692. You're not going to find Goody Proctor at the ChatGPT sacrament. What you're going to do is exactly what happened back then: harming people who've done nothing wrong.
