                 { the girl finally cracked a smile, lifting her head up and looking into his eyes. she knew that what they had, had been so special. she was being silly, because deep down she knew that he wouldn’t forget about her. }

          (  a smile finally wound up nathan's serious and worried face, his eyes              crinkling with the display of relief and affection at the girl's words, before              pursing his lips into a thin line when she said he was still in trouble.              he didn't think twice, though. he reached out to cup her cheek, grazing              thumb against her cheek, before doing the same to her chin. he lifted              her chin up, matching it with a dip of his head to capture her lips in a              soft yet affectionate kiss.  )

                                                 "Wow, I missed you so much."

          (  he'd whispered those words as he parted their lips, keeping his face              merely half an inch away from hers, his eyes still closed as he grazed              his lips against hers once more.  )

         { she turned to face him, an accusing aura to her posture - her hands crossed and her eyes narrowed at him. }

          (  nathan would say it's unfair -- how she wasn't thinking about what might              have happened to him the whole time they lost contact with each other.              he was struggling, basically; torn between himself and the girl he loved.              but he knew it was partly his fault, so he just shut up and took the blame              like he usually did.              but her next words caused him to snap his head up and look at her with              wide, disbelieving eyes. he couldn't believe she just said that, basically.              or even thought about it for once.  )                                          "Now why would you even think that you don't?"            (  it was one thing to blame nathan for the lack of communication between               them, but it was another thing to assume that he'd forgotten about her and               what they had.  )
