Quick Update!

I’m happy to announce that I got accepted as an illustrator for UT’s student newspaper, The Daily Texan! This was my first illustration which went out last Friday (Feb. 9). Expect many more illustrations to come!

Futakuchi Stone-ah! (October 2017)

From Wikipedia: A futakuchi-onna (二口女, lit. "two-mouthed woman") is a type of yōkai or Japanese monster. They are characterized by their two mouths – a normal one located on her face and second one on the back of the headbeneath the hair. (Read more here)

I thought it would be interesting to reimagine this story with a little cross-cultural rock and roll \m/

What would happen if I got two of my friends that have never met each other and took them to a junkyard to take photos of them pretending to be in love? Well now you know. 

Seriously though, big thanks to these two. One of my favorite shoots. And I especially have to thank Sheridan (top right, bottom left) because she’s the one who took my icon picture and about me picture (during this shoot as a matter of fact). She’s an excellent photographer and a huge inspiration. Love her <3

SUMMERTIME (September 2017)

My friend, Channing (top left), had only been to the beach once or twice 10 years before this so in the midst of the stress of finals we made a spontaneous trip to Galveston Island. Yeah I apparently have a thing for photographing people from behind. Who knew?

Austin Skyline (Austin; February 2017)

It was super cold and windy that night. The combination of bad weather and stress from school made some friends and I stir-crazy so we drove around for a bit and ended up at the top of a hill just hanging out for a bit.
