Turned ON: Reflecting on the Fourth Year with Her
Today's the day! Our 4 year anniversary together! And god damn I hope I've made it clear at this point that there was never a single moment I regretted being with her, nor a single moment where I thought to myself that someone better existed on Earth. Olivia's my favorite person and the best girlfriend I could ever ask for. Our fourth year together has been a wild one though. This has by far been our busiest year together: both of us working jobs, both of us taking on large roles in our clubs, and both of us trying our damndest to survive school. Besides spending the usual holidays, we again didn't see each other very much, though I was able to go up and see her at school a bit more often than usual. She likes to joke about a phrase she picked up that was "maximum coze" (sort of like cozy, or comfortable), and that's the feeling I got when I was around her: the most comfortable. I can truly be myself around her, and she loves me for it and that's such a great feeling. And this year we took our first trip together! I still think about visiting Savannah, GA with her almost everyday, and I will cherish those memories for as long as I live. The whole trip was great, but it put another item on my bucket list: travel the world with Olivia. Seeing just one nearby city with her was amazing, I can only imagine how great seeing foreign countries and even further cities would be with her. And now this coming year, our fifth year together. I'm looking forward to what it brings for us, and I know it's gonna be an amazing year. I love you Olivia. And I know that I'll be seeing you very soon, but I want this out there as a permanent reminder that I'm so very excited to see you and get to be with you. Love, Nathan @boodeliadumaurier
Turned ON: Reflecting on the Third Year with Her
I did this post on the correct day for once! Haha, but seriously, I could probably write a novel about my experience with this amazing girl and I'm so glad I get to share with the Tumblr world how great she is (even if this is mostly for her). But I would like to share a little bit about the third year with the love of my life: Olivia. This year was sort of the start of our super busy lives. She took on a big role in her club as Communications Director, while I took on the role of President of my bowling team, while also pursuing a job on top of commuting to and from school. The parts of the year that involved us getting super busy sucked, but (as a follow up to my statement from the last post) I finally grew up and was able to see her at her own apartment at will! It didn't happen often because the drive was a long one and our schedules were hard to match up, but it was always worthwhile to see her when we could get together. She stayed supportive of me continuing my college bowling career, while I stayed supportive of her continued involvement with her organization. I know to some it might be silly to point out, but honestly just having that kind of constant support means the world when you can't hear it everyday, or hear their verbal support all the time. In terms of our relationship, this was really the year of comfort. Our first two years had a lot of big events happening in our lives, while this was the first one where things were very relaxed. And this was sort of reflected in our relationship. The beginning of our relationship was very comfortable and we loved being around each other, but how we were around each other and how we talked took on a new level of comfort once we hit this year. I didn't think I could grow to love her more than I did the second year, but I was wrong (this was a common theme of being wrong about how much I love her). Getting past the initial honeymoon phase was a change, but relaxing with her and getting to simply be with her in any capacity made me long more for those times all the time. Growing so comfortable with her this year was a huge step, and it was only a sign of the times for our relationship going further. @boodeliadumaurier
Turned ON: Reflecting on the Second Year with Her
So, once again, I'm pretending that this post was made on March 5th (and before you think it's because I just got caught up in stuff, you'd be right, but I also suck, so there's that). And with it being March 5th I'd like to reflect once again on my relationship with the most beautiful girl I've ever met: Olivia. The second year was an interesting one. We went to my prom this year, I graduated high school and finally entered college, while she still toughed it out over at UCF and I entered USF. It was a big year for us to establish ourselves for the remainder of our college years, as we both got involved in various clubs/organizations that would later consume our lives... er, I mean become big parts of our lives. Through all of our busy times, we still made time for one another. Dating long distance sucks, but goddamn is it worthwhile when it's with someone so great, and Olivia is so much more than great. I think my finally attending college helped me fully grasp her perspective on life and our relationship as I felt almost free and even more connected to her since we were almost in the same stage of life. It was a good feeling, while I wasn't around her physically very often I was at least always connected to her, and especially more so from my college days and on. My first college bowling tournament took place at UCF, so naturally I was able to spend the weekend with her. This was essentially our first time getting to spend an extended amount of time unsupervised or being watched by some adult in our lives. I felt like I was in heaven. During the morning/afternoon I had to bowl, naturally, but getting to just go back to her place and spend the nights with her in my arms is a feeling I can't wait to have every night. Also, she won't admit it or agree but she totally helped me bowl better by simply being there. Outside of that, our time getting to see each other was very limited. We had the breaks, but I was honestly too chicken shit to go out and see her (as my parents were a bit strict about this). So our time together was spent either on the phone, in text, or maybe the occasional video call. And you know what? My love for her still grew and grew. I don't care how I'm able to talk and connect with her, as long as I'm connected to her I'm the happiest man on Earth. And then another year had passed, and we moved on into our third year of dating. @boodeliadumaurier
Turned ON: Reflecting on the First Year with Her
So I know she's going to yell at me for being a little late, but I havent gone bed yet so I still think it's March 4th, and dammit I'm gonna pretend it is for this post. So, almost 4 years ago I met this stunning girl named Olivia in a bowling alley. To say that she was out of my league would be a wild understatement; I was way overweight, just growing some facial hair, and hadn't fully grown into my body at all. But we hit it off and we never looked back. We went on our first day only two weeks after first talking to each other (I'll never forget that awful movie we saw and the Chinese we had beforehand). A week after that first date was when we first told each other that we love each other. I gotta be honest here: it wasn't weird at all. The only reason I maybe felt weird is because others told me to, but I didn't care. I fell in love with her as soon as I saw her chow down on that Lo Mein in that shitty Chinese restaurant, and I haven't stopped, nor planned on it. That first year was a wild one for sure: we only dated for 5 months before she had packed her bags and headed off to college. I knew I was gonna miss her like crazy, and I knew she might miss me too, but I also knew that we were both committed to each other and would make it work. It started off a little rough, when she first went over she made all new friends, and I felt like I was almost being fizzled out; she later proved me wrong though. Despite the move, we still got to do our little Skype dates, and she came home almost once a month all year so I still got some time with her. It wasn't the same, but I'd rather have her sometimes than not at all. That Christmas I spent with her extended family and finally got to meet everyone, and it was exciting to be welcomed so quickly and easily. New Year's was also a great time to really get to know her, as I finally got to meet and hangout with her friends. And the whole year was a year of firsts: first Halloween, first Christmas, first New year's. You never forget those, and I always have cherished those memories with her. Over the year, our love grew and grew (sort of like the Grinch's heart, but none of us are as wacky, I might be as hairy). And then March 7th arrived of 2015... and that was when we started our second year together. @boodeliadumaurier

A Post of Appreciation to my Better Half
Traditionally, Valentine’s Day is celebrated with candy, flowers, maybe a night out for dinner or what have you. Recently, however, there’s been a larger movement for couples to express their love for one another every day, not just Valentine’s Day. I like to think I’ve followed suit (at least, I hope so, sorry babe), but I would like to instead take today as a day of reflection on one of the biggest, and best changes to ever happen in my life: meeting Olivia. Almost 4 years ago I met this stunning girl in a bowling alley. Even though I tried turning up the charm to 12, I didn’t think it was enough to win over a girl who I thought (and still think) is an easy 20 (on a 10-point scale, of course). Through some miracle though, we wound up going on our first date only a week after meeting; I remember being so nervous for the date that I didn’t have much of an appetite the whole week until that point, losing almost 7 lbs. But we went, and sparks flew (not in the movie we watched, the movie was atrocious). But since that day I don’t think either of us have ever looked back. Our meeting, our connection, everything was just all so natural that we were both so comfortable with one another right from the start. More than comfort, we were so supportive of one another, supportive of what we did and what we wanted to do down the road. Today I would like to reflect on that part a little more because I think the both of us are hitting the busiest and most stressful part of our lives (to date), and I can’t imagine how I would be going through everything without her. And despite our busyness, we still make time for each other: still constantly texting, the occasional late-night calls, or even the (rare) Skype call where we get to see each other. We’re busy, but never to busy for each other, and I hope she knows that this will always be the case for me. I love you Olivia. I’m excited to celebrate our 4-year anniversary, but I can wait because being with you has gotten me to think that everyday is its own celebration. @boodeliadumaurier <3

Big shout-out to @boodeliadumaurier for being my fucking rock in life, I don't know where I'd be or what I'd be doing, but I know I wouldn't be nearly as happy as I am without her. So, thank you sweetheart for being the amazing person that you are, I cant wait to grow old with you and watch us both go from highschool sweethearts, to the college couple we are, and into whatever may come. Because come what may, I'll love you 'til my dying day <3
