:-) FUNNY CATS :-)
Tigers Truman and Lily are being absolutely SILLY in their pool while waiting for their bubble bath to fill.
Can Truman & Lily get a GOOD MORNING from you? These two sweethearts are starting the day with a little tiger togetherness. Drop them a "hello" in the comments, and PLEASE share their sweet moment with a fellow tiger lover!
Tigers often groom themselves by licking their fur. Even though in the wild tigers are naturally solitary, these two tigers have a comfortable social bond. They can often be seen napping together, playing together, or chasing and wrestling. It’s a wonderful display of just how relaxed these two are in each other’s company and in their sanctuary home.
Come visit National Tiger Sanctuary near Branson, Missouri, and meet Truman, Lily, and the other amazing animals who call the sanctuary home.
Your gifts make moments like this possible.

GOOD AFTERNOON
Amal + a BIG blue barrel + a swimming pool = one VERY happy tiger!
Amal knows exactly how to spend a summer day! This playful tigress decided her big blue barrel belonged in the pool, where she could splash, wrestle, dunk, and play with it to her heart’s content.
Enrichment like barrels, pools, toys, scents, and other activities gives the animals opportunities to explore, play, problem-solve, and express natural behaviors—and Amal certainly knows how to make the most of hers!
* Looking for something memorable to do in Branson, Missouri?
Come take a tour at National Tiger Sanctuary and meet Amal and the other incredible animals who call the sanctuary home.
* Tour Tip: The animals tend to be especially active during our early morning tours and Twilight Tours, when temperatures are cooler. It’s a wonderful time to see some extra activity, hear those big-cat voices, and experience the sanctuary in a whole different way!
Come see what Amal and her friends are up to!

🐅💕 Every day is Sister Day when you're Amal and Rani!
Some afternoons are made for a little friendly wrestling... followed by a cozy snuggle before settling in for a well-earned nap. ❤️
These playful tiger sisters know how to keep life interesting! One minute they're pouncing, tumbling, and showing off their impressive wrestling moves, and the next they're curled up together, enjoying a peaceful moment in the afternoon sun. Their close bond and playful personalities make them a favorite with guests who visit the sanctuary.
🐯 Tiger Fact: Although tigers are generally solitary animals in the wild, siblings that grow up together can form strong lifelong bonds when they have plenty of space and resources. Amal and Rani share a large habitat with pools, dens, and room to choose whether they want to play together or enjoy some quiet time on their own.
Come experience these beautiful sisters in person! During a guided tour of National Tiger Sanctuary, you'll hear their rescue story, learn about tiger behavior, and maybe even catch them wrestling, swimming, exploring, or sharing another sweet moment like this.
Bring the family and spend a memorable day with the rescued animals who call National Tiger Sanctuary home. Every tour helps provide food, enrichment, veterinary care, and a safe forever home for these incredible cats.
🐾 How would YOU Caption this photo? We'd love to see your answers in the comments.
🍉🦁 Sometimes the best enrichment deserves a little investigation first!
While some of our big cats dive right in, Matula has a different approach. This beautiful lioness prefers to take her time, carefully inspecting every sniff, every scent, and every angle before deciding what she thinks about her watermelon.
Is it a snack? A toy? A puzzle? Or maybe all three? 🤔
Watching animals explore new enrichment is one of the best parts of caring for them. Enrichment encourages natural behaviors like investigating, problem-solving, and using their senses—keeping both their minds and bodies active and engaged.
🦁 Lion Fact: Lions are naturally curious animals and rely on their keen sense of smell to gather information about the world around them. A new object, scent, or treat can become an exciting opportunity to explore and investigate.
Come visit National Tiger Sanctuary and see the unique personalities of our rescued residents for yourself. You never know what amusing behavior you'll witness—whether it's Matula thoughtfully inspecting her watermelon or another one of our big cats turning enrichment into an afternoon adventure!

Who else loves spending a hot summer afternoon lounging in the pool?
Dakar, one of our handsome white tigers, certainly does!
He was so excited about his freshly cleaned pool that he simply couldn't wait for it to finish filling. Instead, he hopped right in... and then made an exciting discovery...
His pool had BUBBLES!
Watching Dakar investigate the bubbling water with his playful curiosity was a reminder that even the simplest things can become a fun enrichment experience for these amazing cats.
Keeping the animals comfortable during the summer months is just one of the many ways our dedicated staff cares for the rescued residents of National Tiger Sanctuary.

From tiny cubs to magnificent adults... some things never change.
It's hard to believe these playful sisters were once tiny bundles of stripes! Swipe through to see Amal and Rani as curious cubs and then as the beautiful adult tigers they are today.
While they've certainly grown, their personalities are just as delightful as ever. These sisters are always on the move—exploring every corner of their habitat, investigating anything new, and finding creative ways to entertain themselves (and sometimes keepers, too!). Their curiosity, intelligence, and playful antics guarantee that no two days are ever the same.
Amal and Rani share a spacious, double-sided habitat complete with two pools and two dens, giving them the freedom to choose when they want to spend time together and when they'd rather enjoy a little quiet time on their own. Having choices like these is an important part of providing enriching, lifelong care for rescued animals.
One of the best places to watch these energetic sisters is from our observation deck, where their habitat wraps around both sides. Bring your lunch, relax in the shade, and enjoy watching Amal and Rani splash in the pools, explore their surroundings, or dream up their next bit of tiger mischief.
Afterward, wander over to our backyard seating area, where you can often catch Midnight, our beautiful black leopard, lounging on her favorite log, strolling her overhead skywalk, or quietly observing the world around her.
Every visit helps provide food, veterinary care, enrichment, and a safe forever home for the incredible rescued animals who call National Tiger Sanctuary home.

A peaceful summer afternoon with Afton.
Some days are all about relaxing in the sunshine... and some days are about keeping a close watch on what the neighbors are up to!
Afton spent the afternoon enjoying the warm weather while keeping a watchful eye on his siblings next door. Whether they're playing, napping, or making a little extra noise, Afton likes to stay informed about everything happening around him. After all, every pride has its own curious observer!
Lion Fact: Lions are the only truly social cats, living together in family groups called prides. They spend much of the day resting—often 16 to 20 hours—saving their energy for the cooler hours of the morning and evening when they're naturally more active.
Want to see Afton and the other incredible rescued animals in the beautiful evening light?
Our Twilight Tours are returning later this August, offering a unique opportunity to experience the sanctuary as many of the animals begin to wake up and become more active.

Hot summer days call for the perfect place to cool off... and Kora has the right idea!
While many people picture tigers prowling through forests, they are actually excellent swimmers and often seek out ponds, rivers, or pools to beat the summer heat. For Kora, a refreshing soak is the perfect way to relax before the day's adventures.
🐯 Tiger Fact: Unlike most cats, tigers love water! They are powerful swimmers and can comfortably cross rivers several miles wide. In the wild, they'll often spend hours cooling off in the water during hot weather.
