More update:  PayPal blocked Venezuelan accounts a while ago too. So if you’re living in a developing country, you might as well withdraw your account and evacuate your ass outta PayPal asap.

As for an alternative, at the moment Payoneer is the only one that works with both Patreon and Redbubble. Let’s hope they won’t fuck it up the way PayPal did. Sign up here using my referral link.

For commission, I’m looking into TransferWise. Your client can send you money there, but the site doesn’t have the ability to send an invoice/request money, so you’ll have to invoice them separately and let them know your payment details.

This is why I can’t really buy or sell anything because most shop platforms (see: Etsy, Storenvy, RedBubble, Society6) that have the majority of users and are really popular use PayPalPal as their processing services, and have no interest in branching out to other services.

Ko-fi also uses PayPal, so if you don’t have an account with the latter, you can’t use the former.

I hate PayPal. And hate isn’t a word I throw around lightly.
