Help me out man. I really, REALLY don't want to be that guy that's like "D&D ruined it" but Shireen's death at Stannis' hand felt like poor characterization. This is a man who withstands a year-long siege by boiling books to feed his despised wife. But he burns his daughter - the only person he loves - the day after he loses his supplies? I just didn't buy it.

The end is nigh. That’s his belief. At that point, who knows what people are capable of. Ample evidence of that in our own world.
