Mexican woman is missing since April 16th 

KUTV) Provo Police are investigating the mysterious disappearance of 26-year-old Elizabeth Elena Laguna Salgado, a recent LDS missionary from Mexico who moved to Provo to study English. She was last seen Thursday. Police say they have found no signs of foul play but her disappearance is still suspicious and concerning.

I’m spreading this in tumblr because I haven’t seen it done already. 

She have been missing for a week already, (she may not even be in Utah anymore)  If you see her or may know anything please contact the police. (the title links you to the note in which is the number of Provo police department)

I think there are some really important discussions to have about why disclosing aspects of personal identity can be challenging but important for all kinds of people, why the concept of “coming out” has appealed at times to a wide variety of groups (including people who are poly or kinky, sex workers, people with HIV, atheists, and people with mental illness), and why other groups using that language can be harmful to people in the LGBT and queer communities. But it’s going to take me some time to really be able to address all that.

In the meantime, I also think it’s worthwhile to focus specifically on the coming out experiences of people who are LGBTQIA. Of course, these experiences can vary a lot too. There are some differences between coming out about sexual orientation and coming out about gender identity, for example. And even two people who identify the same way may face pretty different challenges in their individual lives. I do believe, however, that there is a certain commonality shared specifically by these groups.

I remember this. But I feel we’re missing some key points. When it happened, he was out jogging with his puppy:

He heard screams and sprinted towards them. He jumped a fence, saw a man pinning a woman down and immediately fly-kicked him in the face, knocking him out. He then gave the woman his jacket because her dress was ripped and got her a taxi home. She only managed to get in contact with him and tell the papers cause she later found his driver’s license in the pocket of the jacket.

"If I see a person in danger then I will intervene. I would not want to ignore it and then read the next day that a woman had been raped or murdered."

And his message to the attacker:

"He is a coward and a man with no morals. I won’t forget his face."
