Under her sister’s pull, the younger left the bathroom with a laugh in her throat. “Okay, first of all Cruella hates, like, all animals, right?” Posing the question with a tilt of her head. Her two jealous babies getting almost tangled around their feet. Luckily, she was mindful of that only to have a quick misstep but not enough to fall or cause any embarrassing damage. “Off– Ugh.. Mufasa?” Trying to keep on topic. “I don’t know… He does have a kingly quality but I thought lion names were reserved better for lionesque looking kitties.”

“But she has black and white hair. And I love villains,” the older sister smiled, giving a shrug as she knelt down to give attention to the other two cats. “You do know that we will never agree, right? I’m pretty sure that’s why our parents named our pets instead of us. What about Hook? Like for Captain Hook?” She looked up at her sister.

“Sometimes? I wouldn’t doubt they fall for it each time. Everyone loves an accent,” she smirked as she set some dark hair behind her ear. “Oh, I didn’t know we were giving last names, but thank you. It’s Indian, means young.”

“Awwwww~” The younger cooed out. Partially towards her sister and partially towards the shivering kitten she was currently bundling up into one of her thick towels. Such a sentiment shared equally on her part, too. Even if it was altered to fit her own position of the youngest, she still wanted to protect her as much as she could. “If my hands weren’t full, Nav, I would give you a hug right now. I guess it’s a deal, so long as you love them, too. Speaking of… We need to give this little guy a name.” Her eyes went down to the sweet creature as she gently rubbed his covered body to dry him further.

“Come on,” she smiled as she wrapped her arms around the younger woman, even though she was holding the cat as well. “I love you, little Z.” Pulling away, Navya thought for a moment as she furrowed her brows. My first thought when I see him is Cruella, but he’s a boy, so I don’t really have a good idea. What about Mufasa from Lion King? I see him as having a strong name since he survived this horrible weather. And he seems like he would be king material.”

“You just haven’t found the right companion, yet, to be willing to do that for. I still think you’d look nice with maybe a classy persion on your lap, or if you’re less inclined for maintenance, a Siamese, or maybe a Bengal? They have those really cool breeds too like a mini tiger– Toygers, I think?” A small dog might fit her, as well, but Navya seemed far too independent for any sort of clingy pooch. Snorting as they were getting to the rinsing process with her sister’s reaction. “Everything poops, Nav. I usually just trim the furrs around their butts to help, but it happens, you know? You have it in your nature to care for things…” Eyeing the woman a moment with sincerity. “Hey, you helped take care of me, as you so pointed out. Mom and dad were always so busy. That counts for something.”

“I don’t know. I just feel like I can barely take care of myself at times, so I don’t know if it’s good for me to have a pet to worry about,” she gave a small shrug as she washed her hands from the soap, looking over to hear what she had to do next. “But you were my sister, I always want to watch over you and protect you. I feel like that’s different than having a pet. You’re my sister and basically my other half. I’ll watch over you as you watch over your cats. I think that’s the best deal.”

“Like a party every night? You’re tempting me into coming when this opens,” she smiled over at him, giving a small nod. “Yeah, the city needs some excitement that isn’t the same cliche club scene. I’m too old for that, so I need something else.”
