I find it funny that we've fought for years to get people to realize that sexuality isn't a choice only for TRAs to go and say gays / lesbians should learn to like the opposite sex / genitals because they should be attracted to gender instead.

Febfem was just a term created for bisexual women who don't want to be with men but we recognize our attraction to men so we can't call ourselves lesbians.

TRAs invalidate same sex attraction, febfems do not. Which is worse?

nobody wants to force you to have sex with someone who has genitals that you aren’t interested in, have sex with whoever you want to and stay away from whoever you want to. but you don’t get to decide for others as well, lesbians can have sex with trans women if they want to and gay men can have sex with trans men. every sexuality is inclusive of trans people whether you like it or not and your personal choices based around your own sexuality don’t dictate what other people get to identify as.

the issue i take with the febfem label is simply that so many terfs/radfems/ whatever you bigots like to be called this week, like to discredit microlabels and many other sexualities and genders on the basis that they’re “made up” but then they turn around and make up a different label just because they want to separate themselves from other bi women? it seems a bit hypocritical to me.

they love saying that gender is a social construct, which is true, but they think that it can be destroyed by just like, saying that it’s a social construct and harassing trans people.

the idea of gender has been ingrained in us all for our entire lives, you can’t get rid of that with one generation of shitty transphobes.

in order to destroy the gender binary and the idea of gender roles it needs to be broken down so much that there are barely any remnants of “traditional” gender roles, trans people have been doing this for years. using “made up” identities and being gender nonconforming is breaking down the idea that there are only two genders and that those two genders need to act a certain way.

trans people, GNC, people, and especially people who use microlabels are doing more to destroy the gender binary and gender roles than terfs ever have.

the whole point is that some people find comfort in this societal construct that we know as gender and some people don’t. no matter how they embrace or defy the ideas we have about gender it’s not your place or mine, or anyone else’s, to tell them that they’re doing it wrong.

you aren’t the keeper of the gender gates and you don’t get to decide how people express and identify themselves and i’m sorry if that upsets you but you might want to get used to it
