How do IXFPs ever get shit done??
Sorry for the delayed reply! That’s a good question. In my experience as an INFP, I don’t always get shit done, which is very problematic. I’ve found that when I’m feeling generally optimistic and my life has purpose, I get a lot done. At the very least I will accomplish the things I want to put out into the world, not necessarily what the world expects from me. For example, I might prioritize writing a politically charged article for the school newspaper above my grades. When I’m feeling low, however, all I feel like doing is binging TV shows, drawing, and maybe having a good cry every three days. At my worst I tend to loop between blaming my lack of motivation on external sources and hating myself for being a lazy bum. It’s all very over-dramatic and non-constructive. Usually the only thing that gets me out of the loop is time. I try to employ different strategies I find on the internet to combat my struggle with motivation. I get mixed results. Some things work for a while and then stop working for unknown reasons. Some things don’t work at all. The most useful strategy I’ve employed is list making. It helps me focus and prioritize, plus I love the feeling of checking things off as I complete tasks. If I figure out more ways IXFPs can get things done I might make a post about it. :) Thank you for the question, hope this was helpful!
I typed someone as an ENFP 8w7 and I know that's quite an uncommon type. Can you describe what an ENFP 8w7 would look like? And do you know what's a likely mistyping?
An ENFP 8w7 isn't that unheard of, in fact I believe @heidipriebe is one. I think the perceived dissonance between being ENFP and 8 is that ENFPs are often stereotyped as "soft" while 8s are seen as "hard." In truth, the 8's core fear of being overpowered or controlled can easily mesh with an ENFP who fears others may quash their individuality, and the 8's drive and vision can manifest in Te and Ne driving them forward to their big dreams. Both can be individualistic, energetic, and charismatic. I can't really say how you may have mistyped without more information, but it is indeed possible you are correct, and if you still believe you may be mistaken, I'd suggest looking more into the person's motivations. Are they healthy? Are they unhealthy? What are they striving for and how are they going about it?I hope that was at least somewhat helpful!-Lily (ENTP)

A Message to Each of my Functions; finals week addition (ENFP)
To Ne: "I know, I know. Just wait till June. You apparently need a degree. Here's a colouring book while you wait." To Fi: "Don't worry. Te has it all under control. Kind of." To Te: "Girl I need more. Let's move move move. The others need you to get this bitch over with for me. Here are 10 things I need done by Wednesday. And you're gonna need to schedule in water because Si didn't tell me I was dehydrated. Thanks I know you can handle it. But make sure you don't overexert. We don't want a reinstalment of The Freshman Incident. To Si: "Good work on telling me i was getting a cold. That was good work. You can go back to bed now." To MBTI gods: "oh great ones, why do last functions even exist."
Dominant Se giving Tertiary Si a giant hug:
A certain ESTP in my life (who shall remain nameless) has really helped me heal some wounds from my past lately. The way he does it is such a beautiful mystery to me. Let me explain; I hate being touched. Especially in certain places. This is largely because of some negative associations with the sensation which manifested when I was in high school. It took me a really long time to get over some of the bad memories from that time in my life. I’m not going to say it was easy, I was definitely in an unhealthy Fi-Si loop for a while, but handling my own emotions is second nature to me. Eventually I was able to activate Ne, get out of the spiral, and (for the most part) move on from my past, but I never fully got over being touched. I never thought it was something I could heal from. I don’t have much kinesthetic intelligence, so despite some half-hearted attempts to get over it, I never really started to until now.
This is where Mr. ESTP comes in. I don’t know how he does it, I suspect it’s his dominant Se, but he’s been training my body not to have such strong reactions to being touched. He can get my heart rate to slow down and my tense muscles to relax by doing the very thing I’ve hated for so long; touching me. I really have no idea what kind of sorcery he is using but that particular scar from my past is finally disappearing, and for the first time in years, I’m starting to feel normal. As an INFP, I don’t think I have the skill to repair myself in this way. Dominant Se is so magical and I think this is a good example of how it is useful, important, intelligent, and competent. I am now forever indebted to an Se user just doing what he does best; manipulating his physical environment for the better.

Te: That's not helpful. Will somebody please do something?! Ne: Okay, uhhhh, I've got it. We still have some ice tea in our backpack. It has sugar in it. Isn't that what the body wants? Si: Hey, yeah I think that's worked before! [drinks tea] Stomach: ... Si: I think it worked. [person walks onto the bus with a box of donuts] Stomach: I'M HUNGRY! I'M HUNGRY! I'M HUNGRY!... All the functions: DAMMIT!
Using inferior Si and basically being an ENFP in general like, “it’s too cold. I should listen to some music.”
I've pretty much mastered this entire list. It all comes pretty naturally to me considering I'm an INFP and also a Gryffindor 🙃
