Okay, but take a second to imagine that the UA dorm system worked in pairs of roommates. Can you imagine the chaos?

Izuku and Katsuki sharing a dorm and basically torturing their neighbours with the constant yells and crashes that come from their room between the hours of 5am to 8pm. Also, Katsuki forcing Izuku to go to bed at 8pm like him, so he doesn't disturb Katsuki's routine.

Kirishima sharing a room with Kaminari, and it turning into a mess immediately. Them constantly being dumbasses, breaking things, waking everyone up in the middle of the night, staying up till 4am, literally just causing pain and destruction.

Momo and Jirou being the chill, quiet room.

Iida having breakdowns over Aoyama constantly redecorating their room at 3 in the morning.

Mina and Hagakure having the brightest room in the whole dorm because Iida balances out Aoyama's sparkles with textbooks and glasses.

Shoji's minimalist aesthetic and Tokoyami's edgy aesthetic clashing horrifically.

Todoroki and Shinsou being the angsty music and crying at 2 am room.

Tsu and Uraraka being the only room that never fights.

Sero and Satou being the centre of attention constantly due to baking and parties.

Koda and Ojirou being the calming zone, with bunnies and neutral colours that everyone goes to when they're overwhelmed.

Denki and Hitoshi being interrogated while undercover.

make oc playlists. spend hours on moodboards that have no purpose. write self-indulgent fluff that’s never going to be published. scribble three lines of poetry in the back of your history notebook. draw fanart of your own characters. write stupid dialogue that your publishers might hate. start new wips that you might never finish but write those three chapters that make you happy because if you don’t write them, who else will?

writing shouldn’t always be about “will publishers like this” or “i have to reach this word count” or “how do i get the most likes”.
