above all, sports fandom is about being DELUSIONAL and a HYPOCRITE and if you forget these tenets you’ve lost the plot
Twin empyreans painting that I won’t finish (Miquella reference)
I have a disease called I can’t reply to your text. I love you
The concept of the Beatles being in Hamburg fucking prostitues robbing sailors and living on prellies and beer in 1962 and then a year later in 1963 they’re doing ageo in uniforms for the BBC at 3 o clock sharp so that the 12 year olds won’t miss it
Sometime i get the comfort food thing but with a movie and i watch the same one for 3 days in a row rn it's twisters (2024)
Twisters (2024) dir. Lee Isaac Chung
Rewatched Eastern Promises again today, and was once again floored by how many layers Viggo Mortensen put on Nikolai Luzhin. I love that you can interpret him whatever way you like, and that is Correct. Is he an undercover cop trying to take down a criminal organization? Yes. Is he an ambitious snake in the grass using the limited protection and access of the police to achieve absolute criminal power? Yes. Is he willing to manipulate an unpredictable and dangerous man by queerbaiting him? Yes. Does he feel compassion for this same man who is also stuck in a cycle of violence and corruption from which he would perhaps like to be free? Yes. Is he lying all the time? Yes. Can you trust him? Yes.
He is all of those things. As he says in the film, he died at 15 and has lived in The Zone ever since. The Zone is whatever you want it to be. Truly his god tier performance.
Eastern Promises (2007) | dir. by David Cronenberg
