I have far too much time on my hands and most of that time is spent thinking in strange and wonderful new directions. For a while I have been worried that my brain my archive this in such a way I may not be able to remember so now I can write it down.

UPDATES, UPDATES, UPDATES

It has been 3 years in the making, but I can devote some serious time to getting Aegon Rising up and running for RPG Maker. There have been a few sci-fi games released since i started this project but ultimately I WANT MORE. The game is a nod to the old Buck Rogers release for Mega Drive - for those that can remember that. I hope it ends up being well received by the community. As always none of these projects would be possible with out the amazing resources of @aekashics and Yanfly!

The Death of Books

My usual walk past the various charity shops of Station Road is normally a very numinious affair. I always feel that there is something special about an object that has been 'pre-loved'. Somehow that owner imbues a sense of themselves into it and through this we are somehow able to reach out and have a tangible connection to a past that isn't ours. For me charity shops are the home of such objects. However this morning to my horror I saw that a bag of books that had been left for collection was lying open, filling up with rain in the middle of the street. It is a sorry state of affairs when man can no longer protect one of the key items that bought him to the modern era. I am a big fan of books, far more so that tv, radio and the internet as a source of information. There is something special about a book, it is another way where the most private thoughts and feelings can be expressed without the problem of face to face interaction. They also leave everything up to your imagination, a journey into someone else's world while leaving your own stamp upon it. Watching the ink roll off the page into the wet street left me thinking that this maybe was a novel and I had just walked to the last page.

Popping the Blog Cherry

So popping the blog cherry. I should I feel write something impassioned, amazing and life altering. But my dad is screwing about with the router downstairs so I am going to plump for something about Monkey Island instead.

I love pirates, I quiet like monkeys and I am big fan of George Lucas and  Lucas studios  who bought us the wonderful Star Wars and Grim fandango (I also like Mexican art). So my delight was un-restrained when PSN released Tales of Monkey Island a 5 part download series that charts the latest adventures of Guybrush Threepwood Mitey PirateTM . Having now played the entire story through 6 times I can safely say even if you are not a fan of the series but you love good humour, romance, anxiety and of course a big barrel of monkeys DOWNLOAD IT NOW!!!!!!!

The latest instalment sees our hero Guybrush accidently screw up a voodoo recipe designed to banish the evil ghost pirate LeChuck for good and release the terrible Pox of LeChuck on the Caribbean. Also he manages to infect his own left hand and his own wedding ring to reject him. Our hapless hero then journeys through the land of the merpeople (very weird androgynous merpeople), Flotsam Island, inside a Manatee and also to the underworld in a bid to save the Caribbean and his beloved wife Elaine Threepwood-Marley. Well I shall not reveal anymore spoilers but will say that this is the most sensitive portrayal of the couple of all the Monkey Island instalments and I have to admit, I shed a tear at the end....but then again I am a big girl's blouse.
