agvstopia:
A shiver runs through her when his fingertips ghost across her skin; the hum of his voice inciting a certain thrill in her as he speaks, stomach fluttering in anticipation as the look he pins her with only intensifies. Perhaps she should hide the eagerness he instills in her, but in truth Rory’s long since past caring whether he knows just how much she wants him or not.
And besides, there’s something exhilarating about him knowing, too. Even when he’s teasing her like this and issuing forth a challenge of his own.
❝ Forget? ❞ her tone is one of mock dismay; her mouth forming a pout even as she struggles to hold back a smirk. Intent on hiding it, she leans in closer toward Bard; lips finding his cheek just below the shell of his ear. ❝ What a shame that would be - I suppose I’ll just have to make sure you don’t, then, won’t I? ❞
She shifts forward in his lap; pressing her body ever closer to his, hoping to minimize any space left between them. A hand slips down between their figures, fingers darting up underneath the hem of his shirt and tracing lines over his abdomen, as her lips make their way down and along his jaw.
❝ Anything coming back to you yet, I wonder? ❞
Bard is well aware of the effect he has on her -- it’s one he has on many people, and one he rather delightedly uses to his advantage. He can see it in her eyes and in the way she tries to press herself so close against him, feel it thrumming in her blood. In truth, she’s something of an effect on him as well, but he’s much better at hiding it ( even if he must also hide it from himself ).
With a smirk, he slides a hand around to the small of her back, pushing her shirt up so he can feel her skin against his palm as what remaining distance between them grows ever smaller. “A tragedy, really. My memory just isn’t what it used to be.”
He flexes involuntarily when her fingers slip beneath his shirt, eyes becoming half-lidded, though they do not close completely as she continues their little charade.
“Hm...” he hums, keeping still, curious to see what else she might have in mind to jog his memory. “Now this does seem familiar, but I don’t know if it’s enough. The details are still a little fuzzy.”
