My tiny sweetheart is gone. I had to put my cat Annie down yesterday. I’m so sorry sweetie, we fought the kidney problems for a long time but I couldn’t keep letting you suffer. You blessed my craft photos so many times on this blog and made my life so much brighter.

since I don’t know when I’ll start crafting again, I went ahead and donated what was left of my scarf sales to the EFSGV (I didn’t see a privacy policy on the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence website so I switched to here)

quick update and an apology for the sudden hiatus

My arthritis has gotten worse all of a sudden, and my fingers are starting to bend in bad ways in the last few months. (probably because my day job work conditions changed in non-arthritis-friendly ways) I’ve stopped all crafting for a while. I’ve been doing a weekly inktober on my personal blog so far to stay creative but I’ll probably stay at a slow pace like this. I’ll also use my vacation days from work to see a doctor about my hands. Basically my fingers are pointing outwards so much that my middle finger is on top of my ring finger most of the time. Good thing is there’s no pain!

I decided I wont be doing a winter con this year, but instead take the time to rest and try to prevent my hands from getting worse. Maybe even get finger spacers? I will post the dolls I was saving for artist alleys up to my etsy, and possibly move all fandom related merch to a different storefront. This might be slow too since I’m avoiding typing as much as possible.

Sorry about all the inconvenience! I had 3 big plushies in progress, but they will sit in my WIP bin for a while longer.

uhh so I’ve been making a batch of knit hats lately but I might have to slow down a bit

I might have popped a tiny blood vessel in my finger apparently...? Like all of a sudden it felt like I pulled something in my hand (that part I’m used to with my arthritis) and then a stabbing feeling at my fingertip. I look down and there’s a purple circle forming on my finger right in front of my eyes? I wasn’t even doing anything, I was at work holding a flat container

the bruise blurred out a bit and doesn’t hurt as much as yesterday. It doesn’t look like a bug sting like I thought it was. At least it’s only my pinky so far?

I actually used to use tictail for a little while! until they started requiring a stripe account (I think you can use paypal but still need a stripe account anyways) and I’m contemplating the effort of maintaining 2 different accounts even though the companies are pretty much the same services

I still need to look through the terms of use for big cartel. I tried storenvy before too when they had some weird shipping settings but it looks like that’s been fixed since then???

thank you for the suggestions! I think at this point I need to compare what amount each one takes from my earnings and how user friendly they are

shop announcement/update

I know I’ve been updating my etsy shop even less than this account lately, and I feel I should at least let everyone know what I plan to do with it.

Recently etsy made some changes to their site (including their fees), and I’m not really sure if I want to keep using it. That being said, I haven’t renewed previous plushie listings or made one at all for the new flower fairies because of it. I still have most of the plushies I post on tumblr for sale, so if you are set on a certain one please let me know and we can discuss a transaction over paypal.

I’m also considering putting all smaller items from my etsy shop into discount grab bags for cons and just start everything fresh. (I will add new sample items in the bags too of course)

I haven’t figured out a replacement for etsy just yet... but I do have experience with a few other sites so I’ll be comparing my options for a bit.

I’m finally finishing off some old projects! I wanna bring some new plushies to a small con soon(hopefully) my dexterity seems to be getting a bit worse with my current day job... glueing rhinestones is slowly becoming more difficult

I’m actually ok, I just don’t have much time left for crafting thanks to recent promotions at my day jobthis account looks pretty dead but actually posting more on my gardening blog and private art blog! At this point I’ve accumulated $60 in donations this winter (100% of any scarf/shawl sales go to charity, and I pay for the materials/labor)

What is wrong with this weather??? I worked on flower fairies in a desperate need for spring but I think I need to pull the knitting needles from storage

I planned on using all my leftover yarn on amigurumi but I might want to start scarves for next winter instead
