Some mermay ideas
I have been meaning to work on a project that is similar to your recent welcome home āgameā (for personal stuff) and I wanted to know how long did it take you? From process work to final editing
Hello there! I've gotten kind of the same question in my mailbox (let's call it that) twice, so I'll kill two birds with one stone and also answer my talented mutual @purple-raspberries with this!
I started working on the video around April 1st. Not counting the days I was busy and couldn't make progress, I think I could put together nearly a week of work, at most a week and a half. The hardest part being, of course, the animations. Julie's especially (gosh, is she a nightmare).
Below I leave you some screenshots of the process, for those interested! I might make a video detailing some things later on.
Editing!
Many people believe that I actually did a simulation in a program like RPGMaker. The truth is: no! The video is completely edited in Capcut, as you can see here.
Animation!
The animations were made in Paint Tool SAI with each frame drawn on a different layer. I applied a pixelated effect to the frames once they were done (I really couldn't do the pixel art myself - My respect to folks who do!)
Audio!
Finally, the sound effects were edited in Audacity, achieving that lovely crunchy effect with the "TB_TimeMachine" plugin.
Working on my Betty Cosplay this weekend, and I thought you guys might like to see my process when it comes to my projects!! Or maybe other cosplayers might find this useful!! I havenāt cosplayed in years, but Iām very excited to make a silly lil costume, still need to play the game tho LMFAOOO ā„ļøšļø
