So, I really never thought I would be sitting here, typing this post but here I am, doing something I never thought I would.
I know I donât have to say anything about this and I donât have to make a huge deal out of it but this post is for all the people out there, following me or not, who are struggling and are hurting in the same way I am. So here it goes:

So yes, itâs true, ladies, gents, and everything in between. I am aromantic and this is something I have been struggling with for a very, very long time. I didnât even know until very recently, actually, but when I finally heard the word âaromanticâ and did a little bit of research it seemed like something had finally clicked in my mind.
I am kind of repulsed by romantic activities, and doing anything non-platonic pretty much makes me feel sick. Itâs horrible and this is something I havenât been able to deal with or accept for a very long time. Only recently have I been able to accept myself and come out to my friends and let them know whatâs going on.
Now let me tell you about some common misconceptions I donât want you thinking about me:
No, I am not asexual. Asexual and aromantic are not the same thing.
No, this is not because of my trust issues.
No, I will not âmeet the right person one dayâ.Â
No, I am not making this up to be a special snowflake.Â
Yes, I have been in romantic relationships before, this is how I discovered it, actually, but that doesnât make me any less aromantic.Â
No, Iâm not doing this for attention.Â
This is who I am and I hope you all will accept me and love me for who I am. Iâm not only posting this for me, but for other people who feel the same way I do.Â
Please do not ask me about my previous relationship or private life regarding my past relationships. Yes, for the past few months I was in a romantic relationship but I would appreciate it if you left the topic alone because thatâs something for me and her to deal with privately.Â
