If I can say one thing about her it’s that she is so honest with herself and her feelings. The way she remembers him keeps changing through time. Not stuck but evolving. Now it’s…tender, grateful that it happened. Another kind of remembering, another kind of happiness.

with luna, his tenderness is quieter, more guarded. he doesn’t fuss over her, but his gaze never truly leaves her; he notices every small hurt, every moment she pulls back or tries to hide how she’s feeling. if anyone ever speaks to her with disrespect, his whole posture shifts - his jaw tightens, his voice drops, and there’s a stillness in him that’s far more dangerous than any shout.

he might never say “i love you,” but he proves it in a hundred small, steady ways: in the way he takes the weight of the hard things onto himself so they don’t have to carry it; in the way he notices luna’s headphones resting on her neck and doesn’t tell her to take them off, because he understands that she needs that small shield; in the way he gives max space to make his own choices, even when it makes him nervous, because he wants max to learn how to choose right.

even if his way of caring is shaped more by duty and quiet vigilance than by words, it’s no less real.
