How does everyone sleep (if they do)? Preferred sleeping position, any sleep-aid items?

I don't think I've compiled it into one ask, but I've had some headcanons about it here and there! I'll try to do Balan, Lance, Reala and NiGHTS all in one go!

Balan: his bed is easily larger than a King, covered in majorly expensive linens. 42 decorative pillows he painstakingly takes off at night to sleep and places back on every single day. Imagine your aunt on steroids. He also tries enact a no Tims on the bed rule, but ends up with piles of them everywhere regardless. Balan also goes to bed at various times of the evening, but ALWAYS wakes up at ungodly hours -usually before the sun. He'll sometimes listen to music boxes while he's falling asleep, and has one on his nightstand that plays the theme to Wonderworld.

Lance: Has two options where they choose to sleep -their bed, or a nest they've constructed nearby that's more like a blanket fort and built from pillows, soft quilts and stuffed toys. It's haphazard, but very cosy, and even has some fairy lights strung up around the place. The Negati absolutely pile themselves on Lance to sleep, like cats for sure, and Lance make no attempt to move them. They actually enjoy sleeping a lot, and napping frequently with other people, much to the surprise of others!

NiGHTS: The BEST at naps, and can seemingly fall asleep anywhere if they feel like it. NiGHTS can somehow sleep comfortably in any place or position: a tree, a rooftop, inside empty crates, even on top of other people like a huge cat. They don't seem to have much of a preference where they sleep! They also won't typically sleep a full cycle, instead they'll nap a few times during the day/night and be awake at all other hours. In their actual room (a space in Owl's house where they'll go to sleep every now and then) they do have some lil plushies they like to sleep with! They also have a lot of dried lavender in their room, which is really good for a healthy night's rest!

Reala: He also prefers a large bed to sleep in, with a lot of pillows he'll use to sort of wall himself in. He's nowhere near as good as his sibling with falling asleep in strange areas, if he tries to nap in an awkward position he'll end up stiff and tense. He won't nap if he can bear it either, instead he'll remain fairly busy the entire day so that when he does go to sleep, he'll be out for a solid chunk of hours. Reala also sleeps with ideya near his pillow, as it has restorative powers and can help a Nightmaren heal just by prolonged exposure. Reala is frequent to nightmares (which, for Nightmaren, are simply memories relived -though sometimes embellished by emotions), so sleeping with ideya nearby also helps his mind stay calm and blank while he rests.

Anyway, here's my question. previously, I asked about Balan's personality, so, now I want to know about Lance's personality. I want to read an interpretation of who is Lance to you. I read the novel before and I'm a bit confused about him. I know he's not "evil" and that his intensions were good, but ¿at what extent did he meant well?

I'M GLAD PEOPLE ENJOY IT, honestly sometimes I'll pause halfway through answering something and think "what am I doing, this is too much". I don't mean to go on long tangents, I don't know why I do and I've been trying to actually cut back on it a bit so I don't just, ramble. I'm very thankful people don't mind it though, and I'm very honoured you'd say such wonderful things. Thank YOU guys for always listening to my nonsense lol

Now, Lance. They are an enigma to me, I think they're absolutely fascinating as a character and yet all my attention focuses on Balan! First of all, I absolutely don't believe they're evil. They have a good heart, and they're trying to do what's right, but they're unfortunately going about it in entirely the wrong way. I 100% think they can be saved, but they'll need to do a lot to make up for the things they've done. I actually went into it a bit more with this previous ask (major novel spoilers warning)

As a character, Lance to me is, all in all, bitter. They feel as though they've been jilted out of a lot of things they deserve, or once had been granted. The spotlight, the adoration of hearts, the warmth of the light in general, really. Costumes run from Negati, which means they run from Lance. Nobody runs from Tims, or Balan. Everyone adores Balan, he's the star of the show, he's the one who helps rebalance the hearts, and he's the one who gets thanked for it. Where Lance is left in the shadows of who they once were, watching their image be twisted further and further in the minds of Wonderworldians everywhere, watching them forget.

But Lance never asked for this, all Lance ever did was care, perhaps too much. And to have that be their downfall sucks, man. It's a cruel, terrifying fate to have to live with, knowing your kindness essentially killed you. I think Lance still loves visitors, with all their heart, and it hurts to not be able to help them anymore. Even if they could get close to people again, they would constantly have to keep themself in check. I'm certain they envy Balan completely. How could they not? Balan has everything, and they are left to pale in comparison.

I think Lance is someone who cares so very intensely, and loves with everything they can give, but they just don't know how to regulate it anymore. Perhaps they've become a little warped in what they understand is a healthy amount of attachment, after so many years of being left in the dark. I love Lance so much and I think they're wonderful, and I was to see a redemption for them SO BAD, I want them and Balan to get along, THEY'RE FAMILY, THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO LOVE EACH OTHER,

Before this gets too long, I'll cut it off here. At any rate, I want to do way more worldbuilding with Lance and write about it too, so I hope to get even a but more done with it during this character spotlight for them!

Caved and made a wonderworld OC lmao, Eleanor Jones, Ellie/Jelly for short lol,

Her story is a bit convoluted, all I'm gonna give you atm is that she was clinically dead for ten minutes after getting into a car crash and along the way she finds out that somehow tied her to wonderworld and once she entered that realm it meant she could no longer leave it, and she has to begrudgingly accept that she now has room mates
