A very fun concept I haven’t seen anyone really talk/write about is a “muggle” trend within wizards, a bit like orientalism, muggles being seen as exotic creatures that are interesting, a muggleborn being a “noble savage”, pureblood wizards being in awe of muggles but still believing them as less, a non civilized people who do not think or are able to do magic like them, thus, they aren’t people like them.

Very colonial mindset that kind of went in disuse after the world wars because wizards saw that the “savages” were, in fact, not just savages.

“Voldemort was pinned to the ground, dark magical chains burning his wrists and forcing him down to his knees. Harry lowered himself slowly, crouching to meet the furious gaze of the rising Dark Lord.

A curious and amused grin painted the mercenary’s lips when he caught the red stain on Voldemort’s beautiful and angry brown eyes.

“Fascinating boy” Harry whispered “I wonder just how shattered your soul is”

Harry's eyes nearly popped out of his head as he heard his godfather. No one ever talked a lot about who Lily — Evans — Potter truly was.

"I will get my arm filled with them, Lily used to say. She loved art, even made James get one too!”

“But let me tell you, Harry" Sirius barked out a laugh "James was fearless, that much is true, but that man was so scared of needles he almost passed out while getting inked.“

honestly I find it funny when people draw sirius (or any other character tbh) with modern tatts. I mean I get it I love some cybersigilism i drew him with some too!

BUT that man would have a bunch of old school tattoos like some shitty ones with blown out ink and colors, like it was the 70s… If he had any tattoos he would have something like a woman in lingerie or a corny lion.

Oh and the concept of magical tattoos… Omg the potential… Imagine him with a dragon backpiece that kind of moves around his body.

Maybe I’m too into tattooing and this makes no sense but whatever, that’s my little headcanon!

And by the way he would have a bat on his ribs and the word prince on his neck because of Severus ❤️

if you think about it Sirius Black is kind of a potential man

(before you read this, I DON’T SUPPORT INCEST, I don’t like it and I know why it is a bad and immoral practice founded by power dynamics and grossness)

Anyway I think people should talk more about the whole pureblood incest thing they got going on. Especially the Blacks. Like there’s some potential in there… the whole power dynamics, the commentary on how it affects all of them mentally and how desensitized they are to most atrocities in the world.

Just imagine Andromeda and Sirius leaving the Blacks and still feeling like they don’t belong because they were raised in a family that always made them believe they were >better< like they were closer to gods than to men (cough cough Targaryen parallels cough cough).

Imagine Sirius chatting with his friends and talking about the girls they’d hooked up and he casually name drops a cousin and everyone is like “wtf dude” and he’s like “damn I forgot you all are woke”. Or him practicing some old ritual like drinking the blood of a dead family member and everyone is freaked out by it.

And Andromeda, meeting Ted’s parents and looking utterly disgusted by the muggle world. Andromeda who pretended she didn’t hate it when Ted didn’t know something about magic in the early stages of their relationship. Andromeda who learned not to practice old rituals in front of her daughter and husband.

I like the idea of the Black family being messed up and normalizing immoral things, and I like the idea of those who left trying to unlearn it and realizing how much it messed up their heads.

But whatever no one wants to write deranged people anymore

Ok so my dad ragebaits my mom a lot and yesterday he was drinking and my mom got pissed bc he was taking some medicine and when he got home she was scolding him and he was like very calm and all so he just said “calm down [my mom’s full name]” and she just broke down laughing while saying he was infuriating.

THE POINT IS !!! That’s Jily in my head. James ragebaits Lily just for the fun of it and Lily falls for it but she also ends up laughing. James always jokes to her saying he has an affair or something (she doesn’t even bat an eye bc she knows he only has eyes for her) but every single day he arrives home at 7 and gets all sulky when Lily is not home yet.

One time, Lily and Harry traveled somewhere and James couldn’t go bc he had work so he spent the entire week sulking and calling them every day. Everyone around him said “oh lets go out lets have some fun your wife and kid aren’t here” and he always replied by “I can’t have fun without my wife and kid”

Sometimes James goes out with his friends and when he gets home drunk he keeps saying “I love you” to Lily and Harry, like he spends the whole night saying “I love you” and “You love me back right? But I love you more”

That’s it that’s my Jily if they didn’t fucking die

No fallout Snily au where Severus and Sirius are at the Jily’s wedding reception having a truce and bonding over still being a little in love with their best friends.

Like imagine them sitting at a table alone drowning a firewhiskey bottle in misery and being petty together while the party goes on… AND THEY BOTH GAVE A SPEECH A FEW MOMENTS EARLIER !!!!

Then they get wasted and have sex that’s it.

During sixth year, Severus and Lily had a brief friends with benefits situation because they were both in a dry spell and like why not friends do that sometimes. Severus already had a crush on Lily and only agreed bc he had hope they'd have something else, they didn't.

Sirius got pissed when Severus - drunk and surprisingly chatty - tells him that on James and Lily’s wedding reception.

What do you mean Snivellus managed to hook up with the woman he was in love with?! He didn't even get the CHANCE to kiss James. The man is straight as a board and the one time he wanted to try out kissing a guy, he picked bloody MOONY instead of him.

"You're fucking with me" Sirius snarls.

"I’m not” Severus pours himself more firewhiskey “It was both the dumbest and best decision of my life”

For a moment, Sirius considers throwing his glass at Snape. He felt so much envy inside of him it felt like his head would explode.

“This is so unfair” he drains his glass and puts down the glass back in the table harder than necessary, he gives the couple a bitter look “Gods, I hate them”

Severus hums in agreement and pours Sirius another glass.

“Here’s to pretending we’re happy about the people we’re in love with marrying each other” Severus raises his own glass.

Sirius chuckles bitterly, clicking their glasses.

“Cheers”

Two bottles of firewhiskey later, Sirius finds himself tearing Severus’ clothes like a wild animal. There was no James or Lily or anything other than Severus on his mind.
