Covid

Tested positive for covid because for an entire week my nose was running and I was coughing slightly. Towards me getting better I lost my sense of smell and taste. My immune system is partially low and comprised yet I survived covid with no permanent lingering effects. This is what we are shutting countries down for? This is what we are getting mandated vaccines for? A cold with a slight cough? Unbelievable! 😱😤🤦🏼‍♀️

@royalconfessions you're lucky, my dad wasn't, he contracted pneumonia and an infection, shortness of breath and died within 3 days of being admitted, back in Feb of this year. My brother's perfectly healthy friend who was a gym freak also passed with similar symptoms.

So count your blessings. What you had, many only could've wished for. I lost my only parent that I had left alive, now I have non and I didn't even get to say goodbye.

Comments like above (not Nenny) is so dangerous and disregarding of the people who died. You don’t even know if you have long hauling effects yet. Just because you are not sick anymore doesn’t mean nothing effected your body long term god forbid. It’s a blessing and there should be gratitude for being alive, not to attack the government and people being selfless with wearing a mask and social distancing.

My aunt died out of her whole immediate family. She was gone in 2 weeks. While some reactions are less severe it’s killed enough and too many to be so ignorant. Shame on those who have no empathy for those who it’s effective deeply. My 16 yr old cousin is without his mother, my mom with out her sister and best friend. My dad worked tiresomely as an essential worker not to mention, as a member of Navajo Nation, we didn’t want the same thing as what small pox did that nearly wiped out millions of Indigenous communities. Do better.

Seriously? Would you have had the same opinion, if your mother or another member of your immediate family had passed? Would you have posted such comment if you weren't as fine as you said you were?

You wouldn't. So yes you ARE lucky. Regardless of the media exaggerated claims, ppl HAVE DIED AND ARE STILL DYING OVER THIS VIRUS, there are different strains of it throughout the world too. So the fact that what you had was mild, DOES NOT DISCOUNT THE SEVERITY OF THE VIRUS ITSELF.

You are lucky.  But so many who got it didn’t make it.  And some of us will live with long term effects.  It would be nice to show some empathy to those of us who struggled with it. And for the loss of loved ones. I am not sure if you are arrogant or just unfeeling.  I am soon to be 60 and it was touch and go.  Your Mom is 60 and was fine.  Of course, you seem to discount underlying conditions such as cancer that wipes out your immune system and made it that much harder.  Many here on tumblr lost a loved one.  Perhaps you can say sorry for being insensitive and be glad you had a mild case.
